4 star Country House Hotel providing excellent Scottish hospitality. Opposite Royal Troon Golf Course. 3 miles from Prestwick International Airport. 40 minutes from Glasgow city centre.
If a waiter or waitress tells you â take care the plates are really hotâ , what is your assumption ?Two steaks in our party were :Not cooked to the preference Inedible My wife and I had microwaved pasta, gold on the top, white underneath. If you want to book this place for food, ask if there they are catering for a wedding at the same time.Wonât be back, my stomach deserves better.Dear MannyPee,Thank you for your review. I am disappointed to read most of your negative reviews seem to be based on Troon. We operate 2 kitchens, 1 for the weddings and 1 for the other 2 restaurants. A wedding doesn't affect the operation of the main kitchen. Your table was quality checked and no comment was made about any concerns.I feel this review is excessive and not a true reflection of the hotel. We would ask anyone reading this review to please check the other reviews without prejudice and make up their own mind.Yours sincerely,Karel KuhlerManaging Director

Part of the Buzzworks portfolio of restaurants.
I had visited this restaurant about 10 years ago on a previous trip to Scotland. It is as good as ever. Seven of us traveling on a golf trip made reservations and enjoyed a lovely meal at this second floor restaurant, The menu is diverse and food was delicious. It overlooks the harbor but is modern and comfortable inside.

Braidwoods is in the North Ayrshire countryside, open for over 20 years with the same owner and has a Michelin star.We remember eating there twenty years ago. We were impressed then and the standard of service, friendliness and the quality of the food were wxcellent this time as well.A lot of the items on the menu were sourced locally. and produced with lovely sauces and additions. The wine list had interesting and less well known wines along with a good range of French and World classics. We had a lovely evening in a relaxed atmosphere with great food and wine.

Restaurant and boutique hotel set amidst the beautiful countryside of Ayrshire with panoramic views across the Ayrshire Coast. Renowned for delicious, freshly prepared meals with seafood and grill specialities.
With the wonderful view from the panoramic restaurant the food was less important, having said that the dishes were very innovative and brilliantly cooked. If I had one criticism it is that the portions are very large, I personally prefer smaller portions so that I can have more courses. My wife and did share the desert and said that we could have shared all the courses and still have had enough. The wine we had was great and service was very happy and professional. Altogether an excellent evening.

Located at the heart of Irvine, we are one of the oldest family-ran Chinese takeaways in Irvine and we deliver excellent authentic Chinese food that will satisfy your taste buds!
The food from lotus house is delicious however on two occasions we have waited over two hours for delivery. The first time we ordered we took it but the second time we cancelled on principal as we called after an hour and were told it was out for delivery but it still hadnt arrived after two hours. I certainly don't want to pay for food which has been sitting in a car boot for over an hour. Very very poor.

The Weston Tavern was originally the Kilmaurs manse, Today the historic old building has been transformed with great care and consideration into a beautiful classic country pub and restaurant, where you can be sure to find a friendly and enjoyable experie
Had a lovely meal on saturday got the last table booked through facebook. Myself and dad had chicken live pate to start my dad had stake pie and i had the poached salmon which was lovely and i had raspberry and vanilla ice cream for my dessert. My dad had a pint of Inveralmond Lia Fail real ale which was in excellent condition and a half pint of chocolate stout which i think is made by Merchant city brewing company which was also in excellent condition. i had a pint of coke which was a refill. only thing was service little slow but other than that was a lovely meal and staff were very friendly.Hi CaraThank you for leaving such in in depth 5* review it's really pleasing to read that you and your dad enjoyed your visit to my wee tavern and restaurant. It's also really pleasing to read that your father enjoyed his cask ale .We look forward to seeing you back soon.

Decided to pop in for Breakfast on Sunday and was very pleasantly surprised by the standard of food. A good menu which we thought was good value for money all washed down with a decent cup of coffee. All delivered to our table in the bar by Emma, who delivered great service

Most disappointing lunch we have had in quite some time. Both food quality and service very poor.- Meals all came at different times- All 3 of the baked potatoes ordered were cold and had to be returned- Prawn Marie Rose filling for both baked potatoes and sandwich was mushy and tasteless- We wanted to finish off with coffee but waited ages for table to be cleared and asked if we wanted anything else despite lots of staff wandering about and had to go up to the bar to ask to be served- Coffees took over 15 mins for the first to arrive and then all came at different times despite only one other table of customers- Were not asked if we wanted small or regularly coffee so no surprise we were charged for the more expensive at over £3 eachAl in all a complete disaster for what was a family birthday lunch and we will not be back. Itâs not cheap and neither food quality or service were anywhere near acceptable.Good EveningThank you for your feedback from your recent visit.I am so sorry to hear about all the issues you encountered while here for your lunch. We strive to offer a high quality product with a service to match and I can only apologize that this did not happen during your visit. If you come back you will see that we have taken your feedback and put practices in place to ensure this was a one off.thanks very muchGlen
