The review I wrote of this last evening, was attributed to me under another name/identity. I.e. Somehow TripAdviser got hold of my other email address and classed this as another person. I don't know if TripAdviser will print this post, but if you look at the review under Bar F, below, that is my review!!

Worth trying the huge "signature dish" meringue here. It's your classic local Swiss cafe- styling from the 70s but the history of the meringue gives it a nice feel. Adjoining bakery for all your healthy purchases!

Charmante Aussichtsterrasse inmitten einer wunderschönen Landschaft. Sympathische, freundliche und sehr charmante Kellnerin. Hervorragendes Essen, fantastischer Wein.

The restaurant in our hotel was closed, as was the rest of the village. leaving this as our only option. However, it was no poor choice. The menu was large and varied, with well-written English descriptions. I personally recommend the "Elephant's ear" pork steak which is the size of a dinner plate, served with many mini mountains of salad and pickled vegetables. Delicious and in relation to prices around pretty well priced.

We are an Italian restaurant with pizzeria and bar in the center of Meiringen. Whether a romantic dinner with the wife or a family trip, the restaurant Stella-Leone in Meiringen will give you only the best of the best. We pamper you and your company with
I went there with my 8y old daughter and we ordered a small portion of spaghetti, and for me salmon with vegetables and rice. We asked the waitress not to add the peperoncini to the spaghetti, because my daughter does not eat spicy food. Unfortunately the waitress apparently forgot to tell the kitchen, and when she brought the food - spaghetti with peperoncini - apologised for this, and offered to prepare another plate of spaghetti, in case it was too spicy for my daughter. It indeed was and within 5 min the kitchen produced a new plate of spaghetti. At first, the service was sort of neutral, not overly friendly (but also not rude or unfriendly), but towards the end of the meal the waitress was actually smiling and even engaged in some small talk with us.Dessert was an espresso and a piece of torta della nonna, which was ok but not more than that. This torta should be a crumbly and soft pastry, filled with rich and delicate custard cream, and topped with tasty pine nuts, but in this version the pastry was not soft and also the custard cream was pretty solid, perhaps because it just came out of the fridge. All in all an ok meal for a Wednesday evening, but not more than that. The bill was CHF 72, for: 1 apple juice, 1 glas of red wine (1 dl), a small portion of spaghetti, salmon with rice and vegetables (CHF 38), 1 espresso, 1 piece of torta del nonna. At the end of the meal the waitress gave my daughter a small bag of gummi bears. I tipped CHF 4.
I love Wagenkehr. It exudes character, quirkiness and a certain mountain frontier quality, perhaps because it's got its own little border crossing complete with barrier. The food is well cooked of the type you'd expect in the Alps, the terrace is sunny, the inside cozy and it's all good value for money. And where else can you purchase mountain medicinal remedies alongside your coffee and splendidly baked plum tart?

We were 3 motorcyclists staying a 2 minute walk away where there was no food available. This was recommended to us by the accommodation owner and we were delighted with the outcome. The view outside on the terrace was particularly attractive and was interesting as we watched various motorcycles passing by. They are not intrusive and if you had no interest, could easily be ignored. The food was excellent. We had a sharing plate of cold meats followed by entrecôte steak with mixed salads and chips. All washed down with a long beer. Perfect at the end of a long day touring the area. The service was particularly good. The waitress, Ursi/Ursula, was very entertaining and had exceptionally good English with a good sense of humour. They serve breakfast to their guests, but we're happy for us to book breakfast at the time of our choice. If we were staying in the area again, we all agreed we would stay at the Landgasthof Tannler in future. It was good value for what we got.

Cozy inn in the Bernese chalet style. Rustic kitchen with local, seasonal specialties. Newly renovated rooms and apartments.
We had the distinct please of an excellent evening meal including perhaps the best soup we have ever tasted ... Bärlauch Suppe! Very regrettably it does not seem that Bärlauch would grow here in Crete but we will definitely return to the Gasthof Zur Post for more!Dear kritiko e,Thank you very much for your visit in Hasliberg and for your kind review on Tripadvisor! We are happy that you liked our seasonal specialties so much! Also for us the Bärlauch is a rare delight, since it's only growing during a very short time in spring. We would be happy to welcome you back soon.Greetings from sunny Hasliberg.Sandro, Gabie & the Poestli crew

Our hotel is family run, currently by the fifth generation of Urweiders. The hotel is nestled in the midst of the fascinating Alpine surroundings of the Hasli Valley of the Bernese Oberland and offers a welcoming atmosphere and comfortably outfitted rooms
We were just looking for a place to stay the night on our motorcycle trip, this hotel was cheaper than the other place we asked, and it is always nice to have a restaurant on site on a trip like this. What a surprise at dinner time! All of us had different dishes, and all of them were more than what we expected, excellent kitchen, freshly made with love, local ingredients, and they all tasted very, very good. This restaurant is a real gem in the Alps, and could go for a michelin star! Next to that very nice and friendly people, and serving a very good breakfast in the morning (ask for their special teas!) I really would recommend this restaurant and hotel as being a friendly, safe an joyful place to stay.
