We ate here twice, one night inside and the other outside. Both were generally good experiences but the menu is only available in Dutch or German. However, the staff are pretty helpful in explaining what everything in. On the night we dined inside it was wet outside and the restaurant wasn't that busy but the food service was really slow. Not sure why. However, on the other night we had super fast service outside, even though it was busy. Go figure. We enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere, spoilt only by people near us smoking, which is allowed in Holland, unlike the UK. Surely, people should be able to dine outside without being bothered by cigarette smoke? Whinge over. Despite the moans, we really recommend this restaurant, with a stroll around the marina thrown in.

This is a very old and well known place in Blaricum, Can get very busy on Thursdays and Fridays. When you are not in a hurry and are in for a relaxed evening, you'll enjoy this place.Service with a smile and the kitchen is really good.

We had lunch at Theetuin Eemnes. Unfortunately the weather was not that good and we had to sit inside. Outside, there is a large garden, a glass house with a small shop and it is also a wedding location. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food was simple, but excellent quality. All in all a very nice experience and we will certainly return in summer!

Friendly place. Has a wide choice of dishes, most of them good. Friendly staff and nice views of the water. Desserts are slightly too sweet, but mains were good.

I have dined last winter in this restaurant with Dutch friends who took me here. You need the car, I presume taxi from Amsterdam would be quite expensive. Over all, great, professional service . Somehow I think it lacks of great Dutch sense of Humor, but staff was knowledgeable of wine and food .Other issue was a slow service/ restaurant was busy, but we needed to wait almost 45 minutes of our food. Thank goodness company was good.Food: very good. My soup (Hot)was unbelievable good, Lamp was tender and tasty, desert (even it was just ice cream, but I am Ice cream fan) was very good. Wine recommendation fro m waiter good. Not a typical expensive recommendation but reasonable price for good wine. Over all experience on my second visit: Good place which I would recommend Not your tourist type of the restaurant, but a proper, good DUTCH restaurant with great food and Wine. When Dutch do something well, boys they do it Well. Thank you Ps Total Bill Euro 244/ 4 people each had ,3 aperatives, 2 courses, 3 deserts, and 2 bottles of Sparkling water and one bottle of white wine !

With three terraces on the water, overlooking "Het Gooimeer" and situated in the little harbour of Almere Haven, this restaurant is s unique location in Almere. Brasserie Bakboord is open for 7 days a week from 11AM till 10:30PM. You are more than welcome
We opted for starter and main course. The food was quite good however, for the price you pay it probably is not worth it. For example starters: around 15 Euros for 1 scallop, or 13 Euros for 4 Shrimps. For Mains the quality of the meat was very good. The Tuna dish however didn't seem to work with the vermicelli. So all in all an average experience.Dear Qasim,Thank you for your review. Sorry to read that in your opinion some dishes are overpriced. The scallop dish with risotto, cauliflower, parmesan and hazelnut. One scallop is on top of the risotto, the other is cutted into small pieces and mixed with the risotto. There is a difference in price of fresh scallops we using or scallops from the fridge or in a glass jar. Fresh scallops are expensive in this season. The other dish of Gamba, melon, parsley, popcorn and curry, we use the bigger gambaâs off high quality which cost more than average scrimp. All dishes are made using the freshest seasonal and where possible, sustainable ingredients. This means that it can have an impact on the price we have to pay to our supplier and the selling price. The tuna dish and the vermicelli didn't work together. I respect your personal opinion in this. See you next time in Brasserie Bakboord.

This grand cafe has a nice ambiance. Service is friendly. The three course dinner was tasty. A pity with the main course there were little vegetables. The courses were nicely done up and appealed to the eye. A bottle of wine is expensive, more than average.

We stayed in the Fletcher Hotel in Huizens Nautisch Kwartier in March 2015. After one night of eating near the hotel, we had to escape from the Vegas style fakeness of this 'Dutch Fishing village' and looked for somewhere in town instead! The Beau Geste was great because it offered vegetarian options even though it was a French restaurant. My veggie husband didn't fancy the main meal of vegetable tarts, but was able to make up a meal from the â¬4 plates that the restaurant serves, accompanied by a generous portion of chips for â¬3. We saw others ordering these plates tapas style, and there were really good options amongst them if you ate meat and fish. I choose a pork dish with mushroom sauce and rosemary potatoes which was very tasty. The fact that this restaurant was full in March, whilst the more flash eateries on the Nautisch Kwartier were mainly empty is testament to the fact that the Beau Geste offers good tasty cooking with no gimmicks at prices that don't make you squirm. Not haute cuisine maybe, but a filling, pleasant meal served by friendly staff.
