I have been living in Berlin for almost 6 years now and can honestly say that after trying a lot of different places nowhere comes close to competing with the Strassenbahndepot in Heiligensee (which has compelled me to write a review!).Firsty, and most importantly to me, the meat served is "Neuland fleisch" which means you can be 100% certain that you eat quality meat from animals who have had an ethical life outdoors. Naturally you have to pay a little more (do you ever ask yourself where the food on your plate comes from?), but the taste and tenderness of the food is astounding.The wine selection is terrific. The waitors will expertly guide you through the menu. The serivce is five star.The menu speaks for itself (you can see this online) and every meal I have tried over the past year has left me extremely satisfied. If you are someone who just wants as much food on their plate for as little money as possible then don't go here. But if you simply love good food, want to try something new and care about what you eat then try the Strassenbahndepot, you will not regret it!

Gastronomisch höherwertig unterversorgt präsentiert sich der Norden von Berlin...auch hier will und kann man keine Abhilfe schaffen...einfacher Grieche mit hoher Beliebtheit...oft sehr voll- daher lieber Reservieren wenn man hier Essen möchte...einfaches Essen...groÃe Portionen...günstige Preise...noch Fragen...? wer einfach nur Satt werden will ist hier richtig...wie man diesen Laden einordnen muà sieht man an der "Orangenscheibe" auf dem Teller...Lukullische Höhenflüge erwarte man hier nicht- da sollte man eher das in der Nähe gelegene "Morgenland" aufsuchen...

Das Birkenwäldchen ist ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit böhmischen Spezialitäten. Dort kocht die Chefin noch persönlich. Sie und ihre Bedienung sind sehr freundlich und herzlich. Ich kann das Birkenwäldchen ohne Einschränkungen empfehlen.

Sind auf Einladung binnen 2 Wochen zwangsweise hier gelandet. Freiwillig würde ich das Restaurant nie aufsuchen. Deutsche Küche und zwar die von der schlechten Art.Auf der Standard-Speisekarte hat sich seit Jahren wohl auch nichts geändert. Und der Koch hat die Zeit um besser zu werden leider nicht genutzt.Von Ambiente kann man auch nicht sprechen. Sieht alles etwas verstaubt und runtergekommen aus.

Itâs the best Croatian restaurant in Berlin. Perfect fish perfect meat, salad too. Pancakes were delicious. Top service. Best thing is that you can also drink wine from Croatia. I recommend grashevina kutjevo

The food itself was good, nothing special, indeed for the quality very pricy. I ordered salmon tartar as my appetizer. For me tartar, is alway uncooked raw meat of fish or beef or other, this time i got chopped smoked salmon, it was good but not what i expected, i suggest changing this description of this dish. The service was very friendly, and the seating was superb! It is such a relaxing, laid back ambiance, right on the water, definitely worth a visit. You can walk around the lake after the meal if you feel like.

This very busy restaurant has a huge terrace with great views to the paddocks. Inside is very tastefully decorated, excellent fixed menus & a good choice of other dishes plus a substantial wine/drinks list, all of which comes at a price.We have been dining here a few times & the only reason why we do not give 5 stars is the unfriendly treatment when a small group of us wanted an afternoon aperitivo on the terrace - we were declined. Undeterred once two of us tried again a few months later & were rebuffed once again. Seems they couldn't be bothered giving us an outdoor table @ 17.00 hrs as all laid out for dinner & obviously too much trouble to serve. The snobby attitude was also totally uncalled for. The place is highly recommended but we have since chosen not to dine here again but to take our guests & business to the plenty of other venues in the vicinity.Dear Sir or Madam,thank you for your kind words. We are happy that you enjoyed our food and wines.We apologize if you did not feel welcomed at our restaurant when you visited our terrace last summer. Usually we always go the extra mile to satisfy every clients' need and to make each and every stay at our restaurant an enjoyable experience. Went there with the family for lunch during a boat trip, one out of three meals was excellent but the others I do not want to commend about. Location great but I would spend the money somewhere else.
