We were a large group with a late booking. What a find. We were placed outside as we wanted to be noisy, the setting was lovely. Most of us took the 3 course choice, which was delicious. Service quick & efficient. Food excellent & timely.Would highly recommend.

A place home from home with good portuguese food, and chicken cooked on the charcoal. ( just like it should be.......)
Had heard great reviews about the place but was sorely disappointed.exhorbitant prices , food overcooked and tasteless. Staff seemed overwhelmed and lacked customer service experience. Service was very slow.Dear Tendero, I was very sad to read your opinion of how you were disappointed and take it very seriously, and have taken note of that, and apologize profoundly but when you claim our prices are exorbitant I was very surprised as our regular patrons complement and praise us on having reasonable prices compared to all other restaurants. For example our Half chicken and chips is priced at 50 bonds which relates to less that 5 usd. I have traveled all over the world and have never paid a little as that for the same meal. Maybe, you have not had a chance to go to many other places in Harare for a meal lately..... Hope you decide to give us another try and be pleasantly surprised.Kind regardsPaula.

Only Portugese Restaurant in Harare
A great city with a wonderful vibe and great places to visit with great restaurants. However, spoilt by drunken University brats who behave very immaturely during graduation week causing businesses to close. In any other city, the behavior would not be tolerated and they would be locked up for drunken and unruly behavior.

Paid a visit on Boxing Day 17, the restaurant was running a skeleton staff, but the head waiter assured us that the menu was available as usual. The service was swift and the food delicious. The hotel grounds were pretty empty so we could relax after a lovely meal in its lovely garden.

Situated in the heart of the Northern Suburbs of Harare, Amanzi Restaurant is set well back from the road in 4 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. An old farmhouse, architucturally converted to a stylish modern restaurant. Amanzi has the capacity to
The grounds are very lovely fountains with fish. Their cocktails were good. The service was not so great we felt ignored and they were focusing on their regular clientele. My husband had taken me there for our 10th wedding anniversary. They forgot his starter it only came when I got my main meal and we had to remind them. For their pricing that is steep I was expectant in terms of service and flavors in their meals. For example their butternut soup was quite bland to say the least. I was disappointed. I enjoyed sitting by their fireplace though.

Fishmonger Restaurant (located at 50 East Road, Avondale & under new management in 2012) offers freshly-sourced Portuguese-styled seafood dishes & platters; a variety of crisp salads; local & imported wines & meat/ poultry options for the non-fish eater.
We had great expectations of this restaurant and selected it for a family lunch to celebrate two birthdays. Sadly it was decidedly underwhelming; service pleasant but no more than that and the food was very average. The calamares to start were cold and rubbery and main courses were poorly presented and just âlackingâ overall. We all agreed (6 of us) that it was very expensive for the standard and would not be recommending it or rushing back. It needs TLC on presentation and making the lunch experience memorable.

My first visit to Victoria 22 was simply amazing. located in a quite suburb of Harare, the environment is clean and green, which soothes troubled nerves. From the reception, we were ushered into a dining area with exquisite furnishings to be greeted by waiters eager to serve. The menu we were shown by our assigned hostess was mouth watering and when delivered, did not disappoint.will certainly be back with more business partners to impress.Thank you ! Looking forward to see you again ..
