Find out what European restaurants to try in Hangzhou. Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province and one of the seven ancient capitals of China. It was described by Italian traveler Marco Polo as the finest and most luxurious city in the world. The West Lake scenic area contains over 60 cultural relic sites and several attractions of natural beauty, and a cruise on the lake is a good option to view several sites. Hangzhou is also a good place to visit a tea plantation.

I cannot fault my experience at the Mulinaccio. Food from start to finish was top notch and authentically Italian.I have eaten in many Italian ristorantes and i would highly recommend the Mulinaccio should you be in West Lake. A little tricky to find so make plenty of time for yourself to find its location and also dont leave it too late in the evening as after around 9pm'ish the chefs shut down.Other than that enjoy the flavours, tastes and the great service, and cap it off with a game of snooker at this most excellent ristorante set alongside the West LakeCant wait to go again.

Great place for western and foreign expats if and when looking for some respite from Chinese food. They have a wide range of well portioned Western cuisine dishes, very reasonably priced, good service with staff quite proficient in basic English conversation and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. Now this is a very unusual and rare service aspect in Hangzhou. Great range of beer and very well chosen background music. Furthermore, it offers a great variety of snacks, appetizers and salad. I highly recommend their meat offers. The presentation and portion are big and abundant and great value for money.

Spanning the two highest levels of the hotel with a glass-bottom floor extending out from the top of the tower, Forty8 offers a sophisticated âabove-the-cloudsâ experience. The casual restaurant is styled like a vibrant gourmet marketplace with open kitch
Yesterday we had the pleasure to discover this hidden gem. Spending most of my time in Hangzhou / Shanghai area, I was surprised to only hear about this restaurant just recently. From the moment we entered the beautifully decorated restaurant (Chinese style), we were kindly greeted by two staff members that guided us to our table. We were lucky to come relatively late (8:30PM) so we were able to secure a table near the window with a beautiful city view.As a starter we had a delicious Parma ham with honey/melon and as a main dish we ordered Pasta's and lamb chops. The food was plentiful and tasty, as you would expect from the PH. What surprised us was the level of service at the hotel. After experiencing many (awkward) culture and language barriers it was a delightful to have a well trained staff consisting of both foreigners and Chinese that truly understand how to create a remarkable experience. As they understand that service is so much more than just bringing food and drinks to a table. From the moment we walked inside the restaurant the staff did whatever they could anticipate our needs and make us feel home.

Western food at affordable price, come and enjoy our relaxed atmosphere and authentic food!
My girlfriend and I came across this hidden gem while trying to find some good western breakfast. Looking at the menu we saw that they had - besides plenty of all-day breakfast options - some original German dishes such as Schnitzel, Bratwurst, pork knuckles. Since we had been in China for over six weeks, we were excited about some good change from rice and noodles. We had no idea... The food - we had Schnitzel, Burrito and Kaiserschmarn - was authentic beyond believe. I have travelled to over 60 countries in my life and I have never tasted German food that tasty anywhere outside Germany. It was simply perfect. In addition, the service was great and it is very good value. Also, we met the owner, a very friendly lady, who was taught cooking these incredible dishes by an European chef.If I had to critizise one thing, it would be that this place needs to advertise its amazing German/International food more strongly, right now it comes across as a simple Café, which is sad because people looking for food might just pass by.I can strongly recommend this place to anyone who even remotely likes German food. You will not be disappointed!

Had an okay buffet here in this pub-style restaurant but they did not offer a great range of options. They try to offer western food, which is okay without being great. The fried beef steak was small but decent but we had to keep asking them to top up the salad and fruit. Free drinks was a bonus but the wine and beer was quickly depleted by a group of Italians, who were loud and had discovered too much of the free beer and wine. Atmosphere is lively but not outstanding.
JP Seafood & Grill is a high-end Western restaurant with modern design, specializing high quality seafood and steak.
It was highly recommended but failed to deliver. It did impress me on the negative side. It is nicely decorated and warm but it stops there. We went for lunch and in total there were three more tables plus ours. They were served and we hoped to be served fast. The waiter took 10 minutes to welcome us and another 10 for presenting the menu or house specials. Cold beer in hot glasses was a big mistake and lack of service knowledge. The food arrived cold and the meat was as hard as the table. The staff wasn't very helpful. Yes we got big discount but I prefer to pay full bill and give big tips but feel full and happy. Certainly I will not be back and I don't suggest it.

The restaurant is elegant and stylish. The food is traditional Italian food at its highest quality for China. The antipasto are succulent. The salads are tempting. The pastas and pizzas are freshly prepared and exquisitely crafted. The meat and fish dishes are phenomenal. Their tiramisu is of another world. The price is medium to high but it is worthy every single Yuan,

We had dinner here with family and friends and we enjoyed the dinner. First, the place is a mix of Italian, Mediterranean and French dishes but it is more Italian and Mediterranean according to my understanding. the portions are substantial and the price is medium to a high level but the price is value for the food you get. The service is excellent and reliable. One note is that they should use maybe piano-jazz kind of music and not rap because does not suit the kind of crowd that are catering for
