Familiäre Atmosphäre und gutes Essen bekommt man hier. Bei schönem Wetter lohnt sich ein Besuch der Terrasse mit Blick in die Umgebung. Die Speisen sind lecker und der Wirt ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen wieder.

Die Hütte liegt auf ca. 1500 Meter und befindet sich auf dem halben Weg zwischen dem Hochberghaus und dem Kasberg (jeweils ca. 1 Stunde in jede Richtung. Die Karte ist klein, aber ausreichend. Ein sehr beliebtes Ziel bei Mountainbikern.

sind m.E. die Spezialität des Hauses. Der Gastgarten ist schattig und romantisch. Man sitz in der Nähe des Almsees am Fuà des toten Gebirges. Der Innenraum ist ebenfalls sehr sehenswert.

Wer vom Parkplatz an der AlmseestraÃe startet hat ca. 6,5 km bis zum Almtalerhaus. Eine leichte Wanderung auf der festen ZufahrtsstraÃe. Aber auch auf der gesamten Zuwegung gibt es immer wieder Parkmöglichkeiten bis hin zur Hütte - ein Startplatz für viele alpine Wanderungen. Die Bedienung ist nett und die Speisenauswahl für eine Hütte ausreichend. Lecker hat es geschmeckt. Die Toiletten könnten besser sein...

Great place to stay during your holiday. Excellent for families with kids. The food is quite decent and a la carte gives you ample choice. The place is build for families with kids, with good sized rooms with a separate bedroom for the kids with bunk beds. Kids will enjoy the slide to the toilets.The hotel is on the slope so after breakfast you can take of to the lift or down to the village. In the afternoon the last lift can always take you back to enjoy a late afternoon beer on the terrace and watch the other skiers going down to the village. In the evening the place is very quiet and you can enjoy a drink with other guests in the bar.

As I am living in this region I know a lot of places to go to and some not to go to. This is one you should definitely visit as you're in Grünau or somewhere close around. Excellent coffee, tea and cakes. You have to try the breakfast too, it's seriously tasty and good value. Also have a look at weekly and monthly events or specials. Often worth a try!Go there! ;)

we had the pumpkin trout and the garlic trout both with salad on the side. The fish was delicious, good beer, friendly staff. no wonder itâs busy there... If you want to try trouts go there, they are fresh and from their own ponds!
