Saturday night and the place was buzzing despite yet another rainy night in Middlesbrough town centre - friendly and efficient staff- was impressed that the chicken liver parfait was more tasty than most and was more solid than most - honey coated pork medallions were tender and well flavoured with seasonal vegetables . The house red is good value for money . Good value in a competitive area Thank you for taking time to leave feedback from your recent visit. We visited yesterday with our young family and were welcomed warmly by the chef/restaurateur. He was able to recommend dishes for us, and prepared a delicious sharing plate of antipasti. Beautiful cheeses, meats, and home made bread dressed with a gorgeous spicy vegetable tapenade. The arancini were delightful too. Our mains were equally delicious, lasagne, and a vegetarian dish of pasta e fagiole which was pure comfort food. Chef was happy to talk through the dishes and told me how to replicate at home. All very nicely presented too. The food was very good value for money, and we could take home the leftovers (girls too full from starter to enjoy their delicious looking pizzas). Another plus is if eating in you can BYOB. Overall, delicious food, great customer service, friendly and welcoming. Could visit for a casual meal in, takeaway, coffee and cake, I would definitely recommend.

We have spent 3 nights at Gisborough Hall Hotel & dined in the Chaloners restaurant. Delicious food, freshly cooked & great choices too. The portions are overly generous but donât be afraid to ask for a smaller portion if it is possible. Steaks are cooked to perfection, whatever your taste is. Choice of steak, fish, pork & vegetarian.

This has become a favourite family eatery in Middlesbrough. There is always a nice welcoming atmosphere and the service is very friendly and efficient. The quality of food is always excellent and itâs well worth trying the Polish specialities. Even more importantly, you must save room for the delicious homemade cakes.

A last minute decision to have an early evening meal. Two of us have been here before and 2 hadn't. All of our meal choices were excellent. The staff are excellent and will help with your meal choices and any changes (one of our group is fussy) and accommodated the slight changes with no bother and a smile - what more can you ask for. There is a choice of a set menu or ordering from the main menu, all have a lovely selection to choose from. All in all, well worth a visit.

I love Turkish food and have eaten at plenty of Turkish restaurants all over more so in London, but Meze Lounge's food tops all Turkish restaurants, the food is absolutely spot on, great service by friendly staff, great for all the family, as I'm vegetarian there is plenty for me to choose from. Hidden on the edge of this small market town, Cookfella's is establishing itself as a destination restaurant within the North East. We visited on a quiet Thursday lunch time and were surprised by the huge diverse menu on offer. There friendly staff offered us a number of seating options and we eventually chose a table overlooking the busy kitchen. A good selection of drinks are on offer including a decent wine list and cocktails. After perusing the menu and specials we both ordered off the main menu and I enjoyed a excellent craft beer (Goose Island) awaiting its arrival. Service was prompt and efficient and the food fantastic with oodles of flavour. Overall a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner and we look forward to returning. Highly recommended.
