Had lunch outside whilst visiting from a Cruise ship. Very good food and service. Very friendly owners who totally engage with their customers. Great wine. An excellent experience. We also bought their matured Balsamic Vinegar, it may have been 55 Euro but it is quality. Highly recommended restaurant.

Came here after the good reviews and comments on the great pizza. The decor of the restaurant is lovely and on the whole looks very nice.We were greeted with a free glass of prosecco. Our waiter unfortunately was very off with us all night which resulted in him losing his tip from us. It was like we'd annoyed him in some way, or when we asked for something it was like we were an inconvenience. The pizza was average, really nothing mind blowing. We were given a shot of some brown liquor at the end which was absolutely vile.. I joked with my partner that the waiter truly hated us.It was also incredibly hot last night and the restaurant had no ac or fan, my boyfriend had to go outside several times to cool down as sweat was running off of him.On the upside, our starters (pictured) were delicious.

My wife and I ate at Mangius with our two teenage kids. The food was outstanding - I had the steak and everyone else had the carbonara. Some of the best food we have eaten on our two week trip throughout Europe. Highly recommended.

Our first night in Florence and chose this restaurant from the reviews. In typical Florence style it was a small place but nicely turned out. We had starters and main course, including the steak as recommended, a bottle of wine and a beer. Thank goodness we had pre-booked taking advantage of the 50% discount. The bill was â¬90 after discount. The steak was 'ok' according to my husband but we felt it wasn't worth the large price. Waiters were satisfactory and polite. Would I return? There are so many other places to try.Thank you for your review from the staff of Bisteccheria Santa Croce

Artisan sandwiches filled with salami Tuscan dishes, cutting boards and croutons. sale of exclusively Tuscan wine, organic oil of the territory, jams and honey from small local producers.
We were stuggling to find a good lunch at a good price in Florence. Most restaurants in Florence are overpriced for the qualtity of the food. Thaks to tripadvisor we found this sandwich bar. It is a tiny place with only three people working there. There is no room for more. Seating is along the wall on bar stools. There is also upstairs, but there were no seats available. By the time we got our panini there were 2 stools free, so we sat down and ate our panini in a relaxed atmosphere. There is a good choice of panini and service is quick due to the 3 people begind the bar working very hard and very efficiently. The quality of the food is excellent and the price is right. This place is a little oasis in a town that is bursting at the seams with the number of tourists. We loved it!

At La Bottega del Buon Caffe we have been producing seasonal authentic Florentine dishes for years. Yet, our new location in the heart of Florencce marks the start of a new era as the La Bottega team launch a selection of exciting new organic and gourmet
I chose this restaurant for a significant moment and the staff ensured it proved memorable for all the best reasons. Service from arrival to departure was friendly, discrete and knowledgeable. The ambience proved perfect for a significant lunch, with a beautiful, quiet setting near the Arno, in a room flanked by the calmly busy but quiet kitchen. We had the shorter Taster Menu. Dishes arrived, presented with flair, and reflecting the philosophy of farm to table! Each dish came as a picture, some literally in a sand (edible!) box. There were only three couples having lunch and each dish was finished to perfection by the Head Chef. The Michelin star is richly deserved. We chose a bottle of Montelcino which complemented the food wonderfully, especially the pigeon, (a first for both of us). A glass of white wine accompanied the amazing risotto with a miniscule brioche loaf! The champagne arrived as arranged, with perfect timing before the desert. Petit Fours, on logs and stones, were a gift. Cheap? Certainly not. But amazing value.

Visit the first Brunelleschi Palazzo, in the hearth of Florence, and experience a Gourmet's lounge with a flavour of contemporary art. Open from 12.00 To 15.00 and from 19.00 to 23.00 , lunch and dinner. You can teste our traditional and creative cousine.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this charming restaurant. The staff was friendly and answered all of our gazillion wine questions. Many reviewers praised the Angels and Demons gnocchi, and we loved it. It was delicious and I would recommend ordering it.The Caccio e Pepe was one of the best I've ever tasted. I opted to get it without truffles because I personally find the scent of truffles overwhelming. It was fantastic. The restaurant is only a few blocks away from where many tourists dine but it's definitely worth a visit.

We were a bit disappointed with our recent meat at Senz'Altro, with such a high rating on TA we were expecting something special. It's often the little things that make the difference, we were pleased to be seated quickly and our water order taken, however when the menus arrived they were tired and scruffy. They also appeared to be missing a page and did not match the range from link on this site, a bit strange, perhaps simplified to increase production? The waiting staff explained the changes to the menu, there were a lot, in these days of technology is it not easy to print a revised menu. This then allows to use the best of the seasons produce? Our wine arrived and was tasted, all good, but the server rushed to pour it and we ended up with different amounts, OK for some! The good news is I enjoyed my starter of artichoke and prawns, the prawns were particularly good and juicy, I ordered the Veal replacement for the beef skirt, I had checked with the waiting staff as I was a little unsure if the beef had been replaced and got two different answers! The Beef/ Veal arrived, looked and tasted like Beef skirt and was tasty. The slight issue was they use the large grains of sea salt, resulting in occasional crunchy overdoses of salt, not very pleasant. The Beef was well flavoured and as expected a little tough. I forgot to mention, our waitress was very efficient at topping up our wine glasses, jus a little too efficient and by the end of our starters the bottle was empty, we were asked if we wanted another bottle, was this an upselling technique? The pheasant main courses had been replaced with partridge, this was a little dry and the legs quite tough. I had a small taste and was rewarded with a mouthful of gristle, I guess it could have been better trimmed. Some of the guests at out table had desserts, ice cream is not my favourite, even if it is home made. Some good news, the recent credit card machine issues appear to be resolved, it did make me wonder has this business recently changed hands? We were discussing the meal on the way home, we were all disappointed, just not what we were expecting. I should add I have worked in this industry for over 40 years, so have some experience.

From the idea of a florentine young man and a calabrian young woman, the most "spicy" tuscan-calabrian panini place is arrived in Florence!
Daniele and his wife Valentina run the most incredible restaurant in the city of Florence. I always have a conversation with Daniele and he makes my experience one of a kind. They both truly care about their customers, and make the best sandwich I have ever tried in my entire life. If you are visiting Florence and are looking for a great spot for a meal, go to Mangiapepe for both the taste and the experience. This is my favorite place to eat in all of Italy, I recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and an unforgettable experience.

Chef Alessio was wonderful to deal with from the moment I first contacted him. He made the entire planning process easy and enjoyable. His food is divine - we enjoyed it thoroughly! Chef Alessio and his assistant/sous chef (Filippo) were such professionals and executed the dinner service perfectly at our villa (for a group of 8). Mille grazie!
