In the ski village Gerlos most of the restaurants are connected to hotels and "Gästhauses" the remaining are at best snack bars. The restaurant of hotel Gaspingerhof is one of the few that is open to non hotel guests. By far it was the best restaurant we had diner in Gerlos. Cooking, staff and ambiance are all very good. Although it takes some steps to make a reservation, first the hotel reception, than the restaurant where staff will check again with the hoteldesk, it's worth this small trouble. The food is of fine quality, all courses are well presented and served. Unless other places in Gerlos where students and other temporary waiters are working, this staff is professional. Tables are covered with fine linen.

We arrived late in Gerlos and didn't have much choice in where to eat, so we were very surprised that the food was really good here. Great pizza with a thin crust. The staff was really friendly and the prices good!

We, including 2 1/2 and 5 year olds as well as sled walked here from Gmuend, which i am sure for the smallest one of us felt like an expedition. But when we got to the Krummbachrast, we thought it was absolutely worthwhile. We opened the door, ducked our heads, took our gloves off, barely sat down and where promptly finding ourselves with a schnapps at our lips. This, a curtesy from the lady of the house (hut) who we saw happily busy in her kitchen when we got in. The gigantic yummy cakes made everybody happy. When we asked if they had any rooms to rent - she asked us back if we would like to work in the kitchen - we declined politely and promised to come back (for the cakes and the stuffed animals!!)

Stopped here for refreshments after hiking the Panorama trail from Rosenalmbahn. We were well fed and re-hydrated at the restaurant. Friendly service in the self-service kitchen. Table outside with extensive mountain view. Reasonable prices.

Absolutely spectacular view with good drinks and great food. Famed for its roast chicken, everything we had was excellent. We could have easily wasted the whole day away sitting in the sun in a t-shirt when it's minus 5C = a little slice of heaven.

Delicious food and homemade schnapps from 1992. The restaurant has beautiful decor and gracious service. Our hostess did everything to make our experience wonderful. Located across the street from the river, right next door to our Pension. Lovely lovely lovely. Highly recommended. When will I get to a hundred characters?

Unique ski hut in the middle of the Zillertal mountains. Various Schnitzel specialties and regional delicacies for you to taste. We hope to welcome you. LG family Heim and the entire Schnitzelhüttenteam
This is a real schnitzelrestaurant... It just serves a lot of good schnitzels with fries. Although you could get some extra's. The XXL schnitzel is enormous! A normal schnitzel is already pretty big. Also a nice to have a hot drink when weather is bad.

Ob Hüttengaudi, Verkostung echter Zillertaler Hausmannskost - Spezialitäten des Hauses, Wein- oder Schnapsverkostungen, knisternde Kaminfeuerrunden, Fackelwanderungen, oder schlichtweg die Ruhe auf knapp 1.600 m Seehöhe... ...all dies macht den Aufenthalt
Good place to be during a ski/snowboard trip. Food is allright and the service quite nice for the time you're there. I would come back here because of my experience but I wouldn't die trying...There's more in this area than the Rossl Alm. Although, we had a great lunch!

Great atmosphere on the upstairs deck late afternoon with a live DJ pumping out dance music (and usually some bold characters dancing on the tables in ski boots).Descent to Gerlos can be tricky after though!

The way to one's heart is through the stomach. Our cafe and restaurant, the "Milchbar", has made quite a name for itself over the last 40 years. It's a place where Tyrolean products meet recipes we have discovered in a variety of countries and continents.
The outside and inside of the building looks Cody and really Austrian. The personnel is very sweet and helpful. The Kaiserschmarn were the best I had this holiday. The chicken my girlfriend had were also tasteful, same for the fries. Cappuccino was a little less tasteful same for all the flies in the restaurant.
