Had yet another delicious meal at De Kleine Volmolen. It has become one of our favourite places to eat. Friendly staff, good food, lovely outdoor terrace. What more could you want on a summer's evening !

I came in for a quick lunch with a friend. Unfortunately, I was timepressed so I asked if we could eat and leave within half an hour. They more than delivered and were very kind about it; we ate an awesome italian burger and thai curry that were made in record time. Presentation was very good, food tasted wonderful. All the while, waiting staff was very accomodating and made us feel welcome.Would recommend to anyone!

Arriving there was "whow very nice place/interior" with the immediate following thought "Now the food must be as good as the place looks, the experience will be super". AND: The food was/is as good as the place looks (excellent!).The friendly staff makes the whole experience complete.Certainly as must go back. What we did the day after with friends, having the "Tapas I Mass" experience.

I went to the place in a group of 6 people to eat the traditional postgras. Since the dish is pretty big, we ordered 3 to share (1 postgras every two people). The waiter refused to give us 6 plates and 6 forks+knives, saying he could only give us 3. Totally ridiculous, it's not an extra cost to put 6 forks instead of 3 in the dishwasher. We had to leave the place without eating because they would not give us plates and cutlery. In addition to this, the waiter's attitude was quite unpolite (maybe because we were not Belgian...?).

We went to La Belle during the promotion from 'Jong Keukengeweld'. This made it possible for young people to eat at high class restaurants for a better price than normal. However, there were a lot of suggestions that were not part of the menu, but it was not always clear that they would be charged extra (and how much extra!). Also, the woman who served our entrée messed it up completely: we had a plate and a bowl, and with me, she poured in extra stock in the bowl. However, with my boyfriend, she poured the stock into the plate. Instead of admitting her mistake and replacing the now spoiled dish, she just poured in some stock in my plate as well! Later on, we saw her serve other people, and saw clearly that the stock was only supposed to go into the bowl, not the big plate. We were very dissapointed that she couldn't admit her mistake. Also, there was said the water would be included in the menu, but at the end, they charged us 8 euros for a litre of water. We went home paying almost double of what we were expecting. The food was very well made, the dessert was delicous, but over all, we were very dissapointed in the service... The only decent person was the maître. The other waiter was still very unexpeirienced, but he'll get there. Just not what we expected from a 'star experience'... We have been served better in simple taverns and small 'non-star' restaurants.
