We were doing a little walking on the Camino Catalan and stopped for lunch. Not easy to find but persevere! Lovely dining room and everyone is family. I won't spoil their story by telling it here. All European languages spoken! The quality of the food and wine was very high and the service exceptional. I feel like a regular after one visit. There were various complimentary items including a small portion of their house recipe snails which were stunning. There is no menu del dia so you will find cheaper but I doubt you will find better.

Very lively local restaurant with authentic food. The food was average. However a couple of dishes like the snails and rabbit were good. The service was average, not too attentive.

Being in a high volume tourist area (Roses) you often have to search for high quality food and service. Nou Fusion! is such a place, where you can relax and feel confident that an excellent meal will be prepared and served for you. Dishes tastes really well with a high esthetic value. We were seven people in our group and got to taste a number of different dishes (fish, scallops, steaks, asian) - all living up to our expectations. The food was accompanied by locally produced rosé wine from Palau-Severdera - fantastic. All in all a wonderful evening outdoor under the open skies.

We collapsed into the air conditioned splendour or the restaurant after a few hours cycling through the vineyards. We were hot and in need of sustenance. That aside, we had a fabulous lunch. I had the anchovies with tomatoes (grown in the village, I was told) and my wife gad a plate of meats. I had the better choice bit both were great. We declined the cheese but couldn't resist the pudding trolley. We shared a chocolate and orange sponge and and Apple strudel type thing but very light. Washed down with a coffee and we were back on our bikes refuelled. Amazing that such a small town can support two such large and relatively smart restaurants.

we ate the gastronomic menu (gazpacho, truffle and foie risotto, fish, dessert) and were so happy for every course. The risotto was truly remarkable. The terrace seating was perfect for lunch under the carefully manicured shade trees. The wine was not local emporda wine but it was from catalonia and very good. We had such a nice lunch we ended up drinking the whole bottle of wine

Nice dinner in the historic interior, with elegant tables. Being in a large group, we had mixed feelings regarding the food. Some of the dishes were outstanding, like a beef tail or fish. The others quite average, like pasta with prawns, or langustine salad. The service and the wine choice were faultless. The place to return.

Ambiente Familiar y Acogedor. Postres caseros Especialidad en Carnes a la Brasa,Comida Catalana, Argentina y Mediterranea. Verduras a la Brasa.
Some friends brought us to this charming restaurant for lunch. It was extremely busy and quite rightly so. Authentic Catalan food, well served and fantastic value for money. We visited on a Thursday, paella day, which two of our party of four had, a great choice from an extensive menu. The location was perfect too.

Located in a gorgeus tiny village of the Empordà , this restaurant is specially charming because of its lovely décor. The dinning-room is covered in wood, with furniture and a wide range of details in alpine style. The chef has impecable credencials, with a great experience in French cuisine. You can taste well-elaborated seasonable dishes, including vegetables, fish and meat. Desserts are also delicious.Itâs a worthy option to eat the daily menu, itâs good value for money.Consider La Plaça Restaurant to be a worthwhile place to spend a lovely and relaxing time if you want to escape from your daily busy routine.

I had a very fine dinner here when staying in Garriguella. There is a nice terrace but I sat at the inside since it was getting a bit chilly. I ordered an entrecôte with vegetables and French fries and the waitress told me that the local housewine came free along with it... The white wine - a whole bottle had been brought - was excellent, and so was the meal. I also got good bread with it. After my dinner I went to take a look in the shop which sells all kinds of local agricultural products and which stays open until late. Thanks a lot for your visite, BelgianWanderer

We went to buy wine in Capmany and the viticulture advised us to go to Garriguella. Wow - we can't wait to go back already. The midday menu was 12 euros with a fantastic local wine included in the price. I went for the stuffed aubergine which was delicious and my partner went for the empedrat. Luckily I have been learning Catalan for a couple of years so I managed to order in the local lingo - some other tourists came in and two staff helped translate into Spanish and some French- they seemed very helpful...and there are plenty of them too, we counted 5 waiters/waitresses to cover the main resto and all the little adjoining rooms and outside eating area. After that, we both opted for the chicken/rabbit in garlic - again, beautifully cooked and very tasty. For the dessert we opted for the ice-cream followed by a coffee. During all of this we were amazed by the number of people waiting to eat, there were at least 10 at the door when we left. For a small village, the resto certainly has a reputation. The menu at the front door is comprehensive and available in the evening. We will definitely be returning.
