Just around Ponte Vecchio and on the way to Plazza Michelangelo is locates this unassuming little place. We got lucky to get tables without reservation. It was hot and muggy evening. Beer was perfect way to go and we tried both their birras. Italian cheese platter was the accompaniment. Tuscan breads with spreads were divine. Salads and a bread plate took us to the next. Food was excellent and service extremely attentive and good. A great way for us to kickoff the Florence visit. Highly recommend. Great hospitality and ambience.Note: if you order plates you get them all at once. Take time to go one after another. The staff put an extra side table to organise plates around us. We finished them all up though - so no worries

Visit the first Brunelleschi Palazzo, in the hearth of Florence, and experience a Gourmet's lounge with a flavour of contemporary art. Open from 12.00 To 15.00 and from 19.00 to 23.00 , lunch and dinner. You can teste our traditional and creative cousine.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this charming restaurant. The staff was friendly and answered all of our gazillion wine questions. Many reviewers praised the Angels and Demons gnocchi, and we loved it. It was delicious and I would recommend ordering it.The Caccio e Pepe was one of the best I've ever tasted. I opted to get it without truffles because I personally find the scent of truffles overwhelming. It was fantastic. The restaurant is only a few blocks away from where many tourists dine but it's definitely worth a visit.

We had an early dinner and got great service. The food was very good, we ate the risotto, the Ravi and tiramisu. The waiter recommended tasteful wines.

From the idea of a florentine young man and a calabrian young woman, the most "spicy" tuscan-calabrian panini place is arrived in Florence!
Daniele and his wife Valentina run the most incredible restaurant in the city of Florence. I always have a conversation with Daniele and he makes my experience one of a kind. They both truly care about their customers, and make the best sandwich I have ever tried in my entire life. If you are visiting Florence and are looking for a great spot for a meal, go to Mangiapepe for both the taste and the experience. This is my favorite place to eat in all of Italy, I recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and an unforgettable experience.

An extra-ordinary journey to rediscover the taste of the ordinary.
Excellent choice. The restaurant is a tiny little one in the charming area of San Frediano - the right one if you want to escape tourists and find something genuine. The menu gets you away from the traditional Fiorentina-steak to take you through to a journey of different tastes - i had a wonderful chicken tempura.Service is just perfect. People very friendly and professionalJust a note, and it's not necessarily a criticism since the city lives on its tourism, the price is not exactly a budget one. If back to Florence this is one address we will use again.Dear Customers,Thank you so very much for your visit and especially for your review! We could not find better words to explain B.O.r.G.O.We look forward to your next visit and hope you will find us just as you left us. Fondly Gabriele Orsolini

Had lunch outside whilst visiting from a Cruise ship. Very good food and service. Very friendly owners who totally engage with their customers. Great wine. An excellent experience. We also bought their matured Balsamic Vinegar, it may have been 55 Euro but it is quality. Highly recommended restaurant.

Stayed near by and saw the Donfefe Porta Romama, excellent service and the food was delicious with great wine selection. The insalada Mare, Ravioli Ricota & Branzino with the Margaherita Pizze were the highlights withe the Rocca di Castagnoli Chianti Classico. Super, shall return

The waitress was friendly and very helpful especially as our Italian is a work in progress. She explained the ingredients of the many local dishes patiently and we chose a delicious tuna spaghetti dish and artichoke salad. This restaurant not perhaps the best choice for gluten intolerant people or vegetarians but otherwise for everyone else the food is wholesome and freshly made. You can tell the cook has talent. The pudding which was a ricotta stuffed sponge with brandy was delicious and the wine was good. The atmosphere is really super with lots of wine bottles and ancient weighing machinery neatly arranged in front of distressed brick walls. The lighting is not too harsh. I'd be very happy to take a friend there and it is on the 36/37 bus route so easy to get home from.

Artisan sandwiches filled with salami Tuscan dishes, cutting boards and croutons. sale of exclusively Tuscan wine, organic oil of the territory, jams and honey from small local producers.
We were stuggling to find a good lunch at a good price in Florence. Most restaurants in Florence are overpriced for the qualtity of the food. Thaks to tripadvisor we found this sandwich bar. It is a tiny place with only three people working there. There is no room for more. Seating is along the wall on bar stools. There is also upstairs, but there were no seats available. By the time we got our panini there were 2 stools free, so we sat down and ate our panini in a relaxed atmosphere. There is a good choice of panini and service is quick due to the 3 people begind the bar working very hard and very efficiently. The quality of the food is excellent and the price is right. This place is a little oasis in a town that is bursting at the seams with the number of tourists. We loved it!

Le Volte far exceeded our expectations! I ordered their slice steak topped with arugula, parmesan cheese and balsamic. All the flavors combined made for a delicious meal. Fantastic service!
