Nice decorated Pizzeria in Fougeres and a menu showing really untipical Pizzas. All that created and prepared by the owner which is more a Pizza-Artist than a Cook. If you are once in Fougeres this Restaurant is a must!

It's on the same street as the Hotel Balzac.
The welcome, décor, aperitifs and starters were all fine. Didn't experience any "anti-Brit" feelings but we speak French fluently and were with some locals. Great choice of aperitifs in the form of Kir Royale. But then it went seriously downhill. The Gardianne was so salty it was virtually inedible; the lemon meringue pie was cloyingly sweet (and yes, I know it's supposed to be sweet). To top it all, the service just became atrocious. The place was full but most people seemed to have reserved, like us, so there's really no excuse. We gave up waiting for coffee, queued to pay (no response to two requests for the bill), and left without tipping.

On our way to Quiberon we've stopped in Fougères for a splendid view and a stuffing lunch. To our surprise, we've discovered a local and very "rustic-like" crêperie. The crêpes were prepared with care and love (we took vegetarian ones), having lots of flavour and character. The fries were not overly salty, which is amazing ! The salad was a nice touch to an overall copious and tasty meal !We will certainly come back one day !

Notre restaurant Chez TonTon à Fougères vous accueille dans une ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale, proche du centre-ville avec une cuisine traditionnelle réalisé à partir de produits frais et de saison.
Really enjoyed the interesting and tasty food here. Relaxed setting and atmosphere provided an enjoyable evening for the four of us (twice now). Service was enthusiastic and caring. We will go again.

At just 14 euros 50 each, this menu was lovely. Salad for starters, veal chunks in sauce, chocolate mouse for me and Apple tart for him. Great value, finished off with bolee of cider. Great service and wonderful location, sat overlooking the chateaux on a beautiful summer's day. What a lovely way to spend the last day of our holidays!

We recently stayed in Fougeres and on a wet, cold night, having been turned away from a couple of restaurants because we had two dogs, we were given a warm welcome by the staff of Le Haut Seve. It turned out to be a memorable evening - super food, wonderful service, nice surroundings, good value. The meal at Le Haute Seve was the best meal I ate in France -- Michelin-star restaurants included --- in the three months I was resident there. Every course was exquisite. Most beautiful 'dorade' I've ever tasted; the same for the creme brulee. outstanding. highly recommended.Merci pour votre message et c'est avec grand plaisir que nous vous accueillerons de nouveau .

Adhérent au collège culinaire de France et Maitre restaurateur notre cuisine est locavore, traditionnelle et uniquement concoctée à base de produits frais.
We were here for dinner as a group of 20 people and loved the drink served before the dinner, an authentic local combination of wine, caramel, calvados. I would truly recommend this place especially to the groups traveling through Britanny from or going to Mont Saint Michele! Yes, we had braised beef leg Bourgeoise - compliments to the chef!Merci beaucoup d'avoir pris le temps d'écrire ces quelques lignes. Sommes très heureux d'avoir répondu à vos attentes.

The engagingly warm chef, and presumably owner, greeted us from his kitchen - we later came to wonder how food for a packed restaurant could all have come from such a tiny space.I had, as I prefer to do whatever it is, the dish of the day which was so very tasty, and the other three in our party had equally tasty dishes, the seafood and black rice dish being the dish of the week.Diners sit crammed together in a very convivial atmosphere and we walked out enthusing about the place. Oh, good value too.

Always good with us. Excellent atmosphere, Bach music. Small and intimate. One had smoked herring and Veal..t'other had Rabbit pate and sea bass. Both had the essential cafe gourmand. Lovely. Served by the owner. Chef bought main courses

One person's 'excessive joviality' (French reviewer) is another's friendly service. We liked the welcome and the service even when my pronunciation of 'brouilly' was amiably corrected - a problem rolling my r's apparently! This wouldn't go down well with Parisians.Handy free disc parking alongside the restaurant. At lunch most were having the 20⬠set meal; three courses, no choices except for two desserts. Strangely the day we were there the starter was andouille - a sausage made from chitterlings (I won't go into detail) and normally served sliced and cold. Tasty enough but the main course was - sausage! - of the more traditional kind.We went for an involuntary upgrade to the à la carte menu restricting ourselves to two courses each. Two of us chose a starter of Breton lobster and smoked salmon; generous and well-presented at 15â¬. The other one chosen was smoked salmon and a slice of foie gras terrine (made in house) with caramelised onion, pale yellow 'caviar' - sweet and tasty, a square of spiced bread and a light savoury cream.Main courses chosen were a 'heart' of rumpsteak with onion chutney and red peppers (24â¬) and a chunk of veal fillet with 'little vegetables' (23â¬). The meat in both cases was faultless. If you find yourselves similarly inclined towards the à -l-c page because of, perhaps, unsuitable set menu choices you could do worse than choose a starter or main course. The portions are generous with good quality ingredients. How many times have you enjoyed a meal elsewhere where the food has been excellent but the mark-ups on apéritifs, wine and coffee are eye-wateringly excessive? So, you don't go back. Here all the drinks and coffee are fairly priced..
