Find out what European restaurants to try in Farnham. Farnham is a town in Surrey, England, within the Borough of Waverley. The town is 34.5 miles (55.5 km) southwest of London in the extreme west of Surrey, adjacent to the border with Hampshire. By road, Guildford is 11 miles (17 km) to the east and Winchester a further 28 miles (45 km) along the same axis as London. Farnham is the largest town in Waverley, and one of the five largest conurbations in Surrey. It is of historic interest, with many old buildings, including a number of Georgian houses. Farnham Castle overlooks the town. A short distance southeast of the town centre are the ruins of Waverley Abbey, Moor Park House and Mother Ludlam's Cave. Farnham is twinned with Andernach in Germany. It is drained by the River Wey (North Branch) which is navigable only to canoes at this point.

We had three dinners and three breakfasts in a row as part of a tour group. The food was very good, possibly above the overall level of the hotel, but the service was abysmal--slow, inattentive, confused at times and generally uncaring. Poor attitudes among the staff. Management needs to take action on this and professionalize its wait staff.

Had a fantastic time in Farnham making cocktails - coached by the wonderful Josh. Iâd thoroughly recommend this experience and this particular Botanist. I visited Bel & The Dragon after a stop at the Sculpture Park just across the road. Loved it very much. The food was great. Tasty, plentiful, hot, well presented,... all you need/want from a Sunday roast lunch really. Deffo keeping this address on the map if and when visiting the area again. The atmosphere is very friendly. Loads of family having Sunday lunches on my visit.

We have visited this restaurant many times and used to find it excellent.Unfortunately on the last three visits it has not lived up to expectation. On one occasion the fish was not fresh, On the second visit two identical meals turned up completely different - one good and one not good. On the same occasion one (hot) starter was cold. On the third visit the food quality was mediocre.. Standards have clearly slipped. The waiting staff are polite and the ambience is beautiful. We often visit the same chain in nearby Basingstoke and the standards there are good and more consistant.

Went here recently for a friends engagement party. The food, drink and hosts were amazing! The layout is very nice traditional/modern. Iâd definitely like to come back here again to see what itâs like during normal restaurant time.

This unassuming restaurant is tucked into an alley between the Sainsburys and the Slug and Lettuce. As soon as you step in, you realize thereâs a lot more than youâd expect from the outside and the location. The decor is well considered, the staff are very friendly, the food options are creative and delicious. We found a lovely bottle of red to share and had a variety of pasta dishes around the table. The garlic bread pizza starter was full of flavor, although Iâm not sure the cheese selection on the antipasto was quite what our table was looking for. Desserts were enjoyed by those who had them and we finished with a shot of apple liqueur. We will definitely be coming back here!
