We made reservations by telephone from California and Iâm glad we did. It is deservedly popular. The young man at the front of the house was kind and welcoming. We had an excellent meal and one weâll remember because of the imaginative presentations and wonderful flavors of the food.Isobel had the moules, sans shells, in a sauce to die for. I had an egg dish in a light foam sauce which was heavenly. Both dishes were decorated with flowers and we ate the lot!Next came cocquille and John Dory brochettes for Issy and a confit of lamb for me.A super, super meal and yes weâd come back in a heart beat!

Like most in town, in an unpretentious building we found an absolutely perfect meal. Both the fresh fish and spring lamb we're prepared and presented beautifully. The entree fish salad and dessert featured local fresh produce. The complimentary extras included olives and polenta chips, cream and nuts. The local house vin rouge was smooth and flavorful.

This is a small local restaurant in the medieval quarter. Not very easy to find but well worth the effort. Lovely food, limited seating, booking ahead recommended for their âhome style menuâ. Just perfect for a family or friends lunch.Dinner not served. A must be there for a visit to Vaison. There are plenty of restaurants catering for the tourist visitor but La Caillette is a gem and inexpensive.hithanks for compliments..... happy to saw you in the restaurant thierry

The fishsoup is very nice, the lamb and fries are also good. The location has a poor acoestic and ventilation. The moment an other table starts stone-grilling the place fills with cooking smells. Service is poor: table's are not cleared during the meal and you will not get the chance to order the last course of your menu, as staff simply stays away...

In the heights of the medieval city of Vaison la Romaine, under the vaults of an old stable of the XII century and in an intimate setting, Chef Philippe Zemour offers a delicate and tasty cuisine where local products are subtly highlighted. The Bistro du
very pleasant ambience in a renovated stone dwelling inside the old fortress city of Vaison. Food on the night we dined very slow in arriving, perhaps due to the presence of large tourist groups. Noise level was very high. Overall, a bit disappointing given the price and ambitiousness of the menu. Perhaps a second visit is needed....

Located at the foot of the old walled city of Vaison la Romaine, we offer a wide variety of Tea and coffee. We serve breakfast and lunch on our terrace and in the rare case of rain, inside. On Tuesday afternoons we have live music performances for tea-tim
The salads and tarts are superb and the deserts to die for. There is coffee roasted in the shop and a huge variety of teas--various blacks, greens, herbals, and more. The owners are delightful, friendly, and multi-lingual. A great place to get started exploring Vaison, or a place for a nice break.

This amazingly decorated getaway in Creset is worth the detour. Friendly staff/owner makes you feel right at home without being intrusive. The menu was diverse and very(!) tasteful. Wines are local and well picked. We took our 1,5 year old son with us today. We was very sweet and quiet (which is not always the case), but even if he wouldn't have been .. at La Fleur Bleue kids are welcome. They brought out crayons and toys. A real rarity around here. All in all a very nice place we would love to visit again. Oh yeah: it's quit romantic too.

We wanted to love this restaurant, but alas, it was not to be. Our table was horrendously located next to the kitchen door, notwithstanding the fact we had made a reservation. The service we received was extremely poor. Our server was more interested in a large (and very loud) group around the corner from us. It took a very long time for our meal to arrive. Although we ordered from the fixed price menu, we were not offered dessert. After waiting a very long time for someone to ask us about dessert, we decided to call it a night, and we asked if we could be charged the fixed price menu without the dessert (which is offered) - we were told no. Had there not be a language barrier, we would have not accepted her response. The food was not well prepared - my steak, although ordered medium rare, was extremely tough. There are wonderful places to eat in Vaison La Romaine - this is not one of them.

Tucked in next to the church in Entrechaux, the Ancienne Poste actually faces away from the main street and has a very nice view of the Mont Ventoux from the terrace. It's a classic small restaurant run by a French couple who are true food professionals. There's nothing overly innovative, but they always have great seasonal choices on the limited menu. Service is always just spot on. You might pay a euro or two more than at other so-called Provencal restaurants in the area, but you go away feeling like you got real value.
