Reviews on European food in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Translating to "Monday" in Tajik, Dushanbe was once a tiny mountain village known for its Monday market. Today that village has become a metropolis, but the Barakat covered market remains one of the most vibrant attractions in the city. Dushanbe's wide, tree-lined avenues are home to a number of monuments and museums, including the Unified Museum and the Museum of Antiquities, as well as a beautiful opera theater and myriad cafes and teahouses where visitors can sample Tajik sweets.

In the long menu there is certainly something for every taste. The first course salads were delicious and the kebabs, beautifully plated and huge portions very good as well. They do not serve beer unfortunately, it would go so well with this kind of food (or any other kind for that matter...).
This restaurant was recommended here on TripAdvisor, and that was the main reason for me choosing the place. The low score is mainly because of the extreme loud music in the restaurant where I sat. There were music entertainment and lovely dance shows, but everything to a music that was played so loud so I can still hear the ringing in my ear.The food was nice, and if I read the local language I would have understood the menu. It was with pictures, right to say, but still, they should have bothered themselves to have a menu in English. Because of the noise, I could not discuss the menu with the nice English-speaking waiter. There are other places to sit in the restaurant, and I was offered a seat in the more quiet area. I should have chosen that. The two courses I had were excellent, traditional food, and I wish I had more.

I really enjoyed the dinner in Panorama Restaurant. Me and my husband went there a couple of times when we were visiting in Dushanbe. Enjoyed the life music evening on Friday and dinners in the summer terrace. The food was delicious, i tried Japanese cuisine and my husband loved his stake. Good service, lovely personnel. Went there with our 2 year old daughter, all the waitresses were nice and helpful. Overall excellent atmosphere!

The food was average, not bad. Portions good. Location in the map is wrong. It's like 1km further on the road, away from airport. Service when ordered the check was slow and gad to ask 2 different waiters. Prices are ok.

Focaccia Grill offers international and Mediterranean cuisine in a beautiful and comfortable environment. The atmosphere at this Dushanbe restaurant is enhanced by the brigade of creative chefs âon stageâ preparing the daily specialties, in which fresh in
Tried out the breakfast at hyatt Regency Hotels Foccacia Grill back in August 2017, it looks like a swanky operation for sure but not much else other than that. The food was only okay, certainly nothing special, the one big upside was that it wasnât choked with smoke like so many other places around the city so that was nice. Staff was pleasant, pricing was affordable but the food was nothing to write much more about.Dear Sir, thank you so much for your kind review. We have actually changed our breakfast since, now we have implemented more fresh fruits, gluten free snacks and many other healthy options. We wil look forward to welcoming you at Hyatt again!

Not sure if this is a new cafe. Nice place and semi full but service is very poor. Lot of staff but seemed to be a new place with teething problems. Nice arty feel and look. Good Western menu with healthy and not so healthy options. Locals, families and foreigners. Female staff member not friendly at all. Some staff could speak English. Menu in English as well. Go to the counter to order. We had dinner and stopped here for a coffee and something sweet. We ordered Americano's and shared a pistachio cheesecake on display. Whilst you would expect this to come out quickly, after 20 minutes we were still waiting. I then asked the waiter and they had forgotten totally although we were sitting right in the middle in front of the counter! We had to remind him of the order and then quickly received our coffees and cake. Coffees were fine and cake OK, quite bland and could have done with more flavour and sweetness. Edible and pleasant but not great. Nice atmosphere to chill with light music. They need to sort the basics out and then they will be on to a good thing. I think a lot of people had the same issue on orders as they were asking where their orders were. In all fairness, there was an English speaking man who took our order and came to ask us if it was OK and said sorry for the delay. There are teething problems but once they get past it, should work well. Not sure what the food is like as we only had coffees and a cake. Reasonably priced and would recommend. Advertises wifi but we were told this did not work!

Tajikistan has yet to catch up with the western anti-smoking culture and we had to look around for a table that wasnt being polluted by the neighbours. To be fair the waitress kept her promise to keep smokers away from us. Cosy (ie small) restaurant with a lot of wood and an upstairs zone. The walls included pics of sci-fi scenes but quite tastefully done. There is a small stage where they had a singer with backing tapes - his choice of material didnt match the logos of the classic rock bands on the wall behind him though, and it was quite loud for us, seated near the PA.Good selection of standard meat dishes. My "rare" was more "medium" but it was tender and tasty. Like most restaurants in Tajikistan you have to order vegetables separately. Service was good, and I felt sorry for the waitresses having to bring all the food upstairs. I would return here if I were in town.

They did not get the awful Marco Polo joke when I walked in, but it was otherwise an excellent dining experience, if a tad quiet. The cave decor sort of works in winter, and thankfully they had some kW bar heaters on projected on to me to keep out the chill. I had the Afghan menu and throughly enjoyed both dishes; starters was Banjaan Burani (aubergine/yoghourt) which disappeared in a flash, followed by the Tekka Kabob (beef kebab), for which the meat was beautifully tender and very very tasty, with a tomato/onion salad and two types of long grain rice. I thought it would be too much but I wolfed it all down, having walked 3k to get there through the Rudaki Parklands. The meal was accompanied by some flat-ish bread and a rather spicy green chutney, that I would like to take home with me if I can. Service was super quick but then the place was empty (I arrived at 5pm).No local beer but Baltika is a good substitute. Wi-fi was down and they don't take credit cards, but directed me to the cash machine in the supermarket opposite.I paid 125 Somoni for two courses and two beers, which I don't think is OK for a capital city. Well worth the visit.

We fancied a change from central Asian food so tried this Ukrainian restaurant recommended by Lonely Planet and only round the corner from our hotel. We were not disappointed - the waiter was very friendly and spoke very good English. Unfortunately there were no pork dishes available which are said to be very good. Instead we had Zrazy (potato pie) filled with mushrooms followed by pot roast beef and chicken with mustard sauce respectively. The zrazy were very hot and tasty. Unfortunately my chicken was lukewarm as were the side dishes of potatoes and vegetables - otherwise we would have given a 5-star rating.

Our constant drive to excellence in product quality, efficient service and a friendly atmosphere makes a real difference in the experience of our customers. The Segafredo Zanetti Espresso brand was born thanks to the great and passionate work of an Italia
At least since I came to country in 2011, Segafredo's has been the go-to place for a consistent, high quality meal. This chain is a mid to low-range coffee shop in the rest of the world, but here in Dushanbe it's on the upper end of fine dining. They have good coffee and dessert options, but they really shine with the full dining options. The steak and salads are as good as I expect to get just about anywhere, and for a very reasonable price. Staff are excellent in general. Parking is a bit of a challenge downtown, but you are in good walking access to shopping and public transit. Dear Matt,Welcome back again and so happy for such lovely feedback. It is really happiness to meet such loyal customer like you.Wish you all the best and welcome here again. With respect,Segafredo team in Dushanbe
