On a solo cycling trip staying in Talloires, I ate here one night and loved it.I was a walk up with no reservation and was seated at the bar. The manager gave me excellent recommendations (cray fish to start and lamb for a main) with matching wine by the glass. It reminded me of all that is great about family run local restaurants in France - you don't get anything like this in the UK.Excellent.Dear Ben, Thank you for taken the time to share your recent experience in Bistrot 1903.Be assured that we will share your comment with all the team.We look forward the pleasure welcoming you in l'Auberge du Père Bise for another cycling trip..!

A shelter A small place on the shore of the lake with a private jetty. Enjoy the charming and simple but elegant atmosphere. Bath at noon, top cooking at night ... Families are welcome.
The petit Paradis deserves its name, due to the location. It is definitely one of the best venue for dinning on a hot summer night, just by the lake side. However, the price to pay and the lack of quality food makes it s little bitter for he hefty bill to be swallowed. I remember the set menu offering about four choices for starter, main and sweets. Some were not available, but option were given for missing items: Fera was replaced by trout (half the price at the market but no discount on the bill). Many starters are ready made food out of tins (rillettes de fera comes from a local dealer, but is not made on site). Prices of wine are outrageous....So as a bottom line: you go there for the location, you don;t eat badly but certainly not for the price you pay (55 euros par head without drinks in a set menu). A la carte is not any cheaper...

We adored this place. The lunch we had here ranks with the best dining experiences weâve ever had anywhere on the planet. The location is stunning. The food and wine is superb. The hospitality is beautiful. The cost is very reasonable. Really, who would want more. This place had been recommended to us by a tour guide we met at a cafe in Annecy. She said, get the 10.15am boat, go to this little town, get off, have a wander around and then eat here at this restaurant. We had our doubts but she was 200% spot on. The locality of Taillores is superb. Lake Annecy itself is magnificent. This town on the lake is beautiful too. Like, picture postcard chocolate box perfect. Thereâs lots of sights to take in before you go to the restaurant itself. We took half an hour wandering around the area after getting off the boat. As soon as we got to the restaurant we asked for a table at the edge overlooking the water. It was a wise decision. The view is absolutely superb from there. I havenât even got to the meal yet. We ordered croquant savoyard for entree. This was an incredible dish. Absolutely and utterly delicious. Cheese and bacon in filo pastry, essentially. Lovely salad with it too. Beautiful toasted pine nuts. Astonishingly good bread to go with it. A very generous serve overall as well. We only needed one between two people. It is a superb dish. Our bread was topped up between courses which was impressive. I had the Diot au vin blanc, local pork sausage in white wine with polenta for main course. I wonât mince words. These were the best sausages Iâve ever tasted. They had a deep rich flavour. They are without a doubt the best pork sausages Iâve ever had by about ten fold. Incredible flavour. I got quite distressed about three quarters of the way through this dish knowing that it was coming to an end. It was superb. Beautiful creamy sauce. Great polenta too with lovely rich flavour. Cute cherry tomatoes too. I loved it.My partner had steak tartare and thoroughly enjoyed it too. We shared some Glacé to finish, dark chocolate and raspberry with Chantilly cream. It was a perfect way to finish. The ice cream had significantly more depth of flavour than the Italian gelato weâd had in Italy Itself in the weeks before this meal.Service throughout the meal here was faultless. Warm, helpful, friendly and efficient. The overall cost of the meal was modest for the quality. We would recommend the restaurant highly.

The food here is interesting, well presented and delicious. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and spoke pretty good english. The atmosphere was a little lacking but it was a week night in early May so I expect it will probably improve when busier. Avoid the corner table where the cushions make the seat too shallow even for averagely sized people and without the cushions your back is against a wall - not very comfy!

The restaurant of Abbaye de Talloires with its perfect settings of intimate dinning rooms or dappled terraces seduces with cuisine inspired by the changing seasons. To accompany the refined dishes the sommelier proposes the exceptional wines from our hist
A great food experience, with beautifully designed and very tasteful course, combined a fantastic wine list. The special soufflé is absolutely to be tested. This restaurant really deserves to have a one star into the Michelin guide.Great location , great view, great personnel, very romantic.Dear guest, many thanks for your kind review. Our Chef Christophe Le Digol confirmed Michelin star in his former restaurant over three years and we work on it to bring it over, because we agree with you that he really deserves one.Nevertheless we try to always improve for the satisfaction of our clients and we are extremly happy if we succeed as it was in your case.We hope we will have the opportunity to greet you back in our beautiful house.Warmest regards from sunny TalloiresDunja KirchnerGeneral manager

Excellent french restaurant
The husband and wife team running Le Confidentiel do a really wonderful job. The flavours and presentation are outstanding, and the service is warm and very welcoming. The ambiance of the tiny restaurant is lovely. And at 33 Euro for three courses (plus amuse bouche) it is the best value to be found anywhere around Lake Annecy. Overall, itâs just superb. Book ahead and try it, you wonât be disappointed.

Le café de la place is a friendly restaurant, between "le bouchon Lyonnais" and "the old Parisian bistro", we try every day to present authentic cuisine, which resembles us.
Ate on a Sunday night-it was packed so book! Choices were great as were the prices. The two staff were rushing around but managed to look after us. Food quality very good with some unusual suggestions such as casserole of veal kidneys. Only dampener was the credit card machine failed to connect but waiter was most apologetic, offered complimentary drinks and there is an ATM round the corner.

We passed this restaurant a couple of times in the car, but it didn't look too appealing. However we walked the 200 metres from the centre of Talloires and discovered the landslide eating area.Although a bit windy on our first night the setting was ideallic. The food was excellent and the owner was really helpful. In fact it was so good we went back a second night (a very rare occurrence for us). There was no wind on the second evening, so even better.
