A modern Italian restaurant with fantastic views overlooking a lake. Using only the freshest ingredients with daily specials available.
Recently visited Bert's when staying at Dacre Lakeside Lodges and it wasent the best visit, we found that there was very little choice on the menu and the quality of food wasent great. Investment in the menu is what this restaurant needs. Had a pint of birra moretti with my meal and the lines and pipes to the pumps could definitely do with a clean. Thank you for your review, sorry you didn't like this menu, we change our menu regularly and are launching a new one shortly. Also, we use a Bierra Moretti Blade which is a self contained mini keg with no pipes or pumps.

Bistro restaurant situated in heart of Driffield town centre. Open daily from 9am serving coffee, Breakfast, Lunch, Evening meals, Great Cocktails, Draught lagers, Fine Wines, wide Gin selection and a fantastic friendly atmosphere
walking past a gaggle of youngsters at the bar we were greeted at the till and guided to our prebooked table. Our little waitress took our order, helped us through the menu and served us drinks. Eschewing starters I went for the triple seafood main: mussels, prawns in an extremely piquant sauce and aseabass fillet, oddly accompanied by a dry bread bun. I yearned for some healthy carbohydrate. My partner enjoyed his meat pie. We both had a tasty pud but I would have loved a fresh fruit dish. Service was great till this point - then the chef went home as did our waitress, bizarre. No coffee offered so we paid our bill at the till and came home.

Our second visit in a few weeks, both were wonderful experiences. Freshly cooked superior food beautifully presented and pleasantly served. Add to this a well priced though limited wine list, makes for an excellent evening. Thank you!

Marco Polo Restaurant was established over 20 years ago in the heart Driffield, which is situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The restaurant has always been family run, with our top priority being to provide great home made food in a relaxed environm
We stopped off at Driffield on our way home from Bridlington for lunch. The restaurant was very quiet and unassuming from the outside but inside it was a beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere despite being quiet. It is obviously Italian owned as the decor and menu was very authentically Italian. We all had lasagne which was delicious! Highly recommended hidden gem!!
