This restaurant was recommanded by a friend who did visit Dole during summer. It is a very nice restaurant located in an old cave (very romantic) and a large terrasse overlooking the river and the ducks for summers (my friend experimented!)Food is good with local and traditional regional food such as the Jura's FONDUE. Try the Fondue with the Morilles!!!! It is really worth it.Large choice of good and consistent crepes. I would definitely come back if I am in the region.

Wonderful location at the waterside . We were there on a cold and rainy evening . When you enter, you feel the warmth, both from the wood stove and the host welcoming you. The finest aroma's of carefully prepared dishes make it complete. As much as possible, local produce is used. Excellent choice of local wines.

This is our favorite place! We have to eat here at least a couple of times every time we visit Dole. The restaurant is situated in a cellar with the fireplace/oven in the seating area. The atmospere is so warm and cosy and the staff is very friendly. There are local dishes on the menu, all well prepared, fresh and tasty. We highly recommend the steak tartare. And then the pizzas; they are dreamy - the best I've ever had! The bread is crisp and so good, it's worth eating alone. The cheese is tasty and high quality. You have to try one..It might be a good idea to book a table, the place is very well visited.

"This was the second time we have had dinner at La Petite Venise while passing through Dole and it was another very good meal with very good service. We would definitely go there again given the chance " Maioha 18-05-17 "Having wandered around the old tow

Very nice and cosy place. Quiet terrace on the side, we went here and enjoyed it very much. We took two menu's: 36,5⬠each. We were served: langoustines, foie gras, veal, lotte and as dessert: cheeses and meringue. Excellent and tasteful dishes. Very well balanced and high in taste. White wine Rully was good, the red wine Arbois is not our cup of tea. Service was young and unexperienced and a little on the messy side. Anyway, overall enjoyed the setting and the dishes. Come here with confidence. Total cost for a very nice evening: 104â¬. Worth it!

The menu is quite limited, but for us (non-vegetarian or other peculiarities) it wasn't hard to find something. Had the foie gras tatin and lamb shoulder, followed by cheese rather than dessert. The food was good (average for the cheese), but service was rather cold. No explanation or asking how it was (although we speak French), just serving and taking away. Same for the other tables. The outside tables are lovely for summer evenings.

Hard to believe it's been four years since we were here last but it is. Delighted to return and even more so to see that nothing has changed.....service is polite, discreet and friendly. The setting on the terrace is intimate and charming and a huge plus .....the first time we've seen it in France but smoking / vaping anything outside is banned ....hooray at last a smoke free meal outside .....Gets a big tick for that. The food is as excellent as before with fresh well prepared and presented ingredients combining great flavours and visually attractive. The wine list is quite extensive from the region and beyond and prices to suit all. Can't wait to return, just hope it's not another 4 years!

The advantage of eating at a place like this, is that you forget it very quickly. When quantity is more important than quality, that is not a place I could recommend. After our first course the owner(?) took our cutlery out of our plates and put them on the table again (disgusting). On the tables the table cloths were out of paper with advertising. For a fast food restaurant maybe OK.
