This restaurant serves simple, but affordable dishes. Among others they have czech dishes on the menu. We ordered the Gulash, which was some pieces of meat in sauce, and Knödel (a sort of bread). We had to wait for about 20 minutes. It was good, but we missed the salad. The waitress did not speak english,so we had to try german. All in all: average

A meal here is a highlight of a visit to Limburg. The choice and quality of the food and wine and the knowledgeable staff perfectly complement the atmosphere of this wonderful old building. There is a great choice for all kinds of diet and plenty of information is available about what is on the menu. There is a very good selection of wines and, again, much knowledge which staff are happy to share.
We drank here but did not eat. Service was fine, location is the best thing - in the castle! Not much more to say.

We ate here on a business trip. Service was excellent from the start to finish nothing to much trouble for staff here. The recommended persecico was excellent . I had the veal which was perfectly cooked with potatoes and vegetables .Pasta was also very good. Deserts was superb we went for the surprise which was a small portion of each desert from cheesecakes to small cakes very nice very filling . Would highly recommend eating here .
Lage ist sehr gut, die Stühle drauÃen allerdings sehr unbequem. Das Essen war ok.Nicht ok war die Bedienung, die patzig, unverschämt und unfreundlich war. Nie wieder.

The venue is located more or less in the centre of Diez. They have some parking space but parking on the road is possible too. The restaurant is quite big with a lot of table. The menu is a mixture of Italian and Turkish dishes, more Italian though. I had an Aperol Spritz as aperitif which was OK but not more. I had a small Minestrone which was OK and then Kebab with Yoghurt. Nothing special. The service is kind and quick.

Even by using the navigation system it was not easy to find the location. It's kind of remote and not within walking distance of town. The place was empty upon arrival and only later during the evening one other table arrived.Seems this restaurant is probably only busy during the summer months when many tourists are on the camping sites close to the river. The view is certainly nice and the Italian menu provides plenty of choice. Quality of the food was ok and waiting staff friendly.

We found this place but chance, just looking for something other that italian to eat and came across a small, beautfully decorated and with great service restaurant. We ordered chicken stuffed with goat cheese and potatoes and my husbando had three meats plate, very good presentation, perfetly cooked, great beer and good prices. Absolutely recommended

Travelling to the North, we decided to stop for the night in Limburg. The search for a good restaurant was long and hard. In Diez we chanced upon Tacheles, a house which from the outside appears cosy but once inside you are struck by wonderful elegance which extends to a beautifully planned, small garden. Here is where we ate on this very warm evening in July. Although we hadn't reserved a table and all tables were reserved! my wife and I were greeted most cordially and as we knew we would not need more than two hours for our meal we were able to take seats in the shadow of climbing roses, clematis and grape vines. The restaurant owners took our order with understanding (I like my steaks rare but most restaurants understand that to mean raw. There is a difference:-)) To start we had a selection of bread with butter, sauce and olives: perfect. My steak was then just as I wanted and my wife ate excellent stuffed capsicum. The white and red house wines were both very good. After a small home made dessert and coffee we payed a very reasonable bill and went very happily on our way. An absolutely first class restaurant for my opinion.
