I have eaten at the old premises but what put off by the new build. When we discovered that our favourite restaurant nearby had closed, we decided to bight the bullet. The interior was nice with a good atmosphere (the exterior clearly does no justice). But the menu and wine choice was great. Whilst knowing that their fondu was well known, I wanted to try the choucroute de la mer. It was outstanding. The wine was perfect and all at fantastic value for money. We will be going back.

Don't spend â¬100+ per headTA recommended the Bistrot du Port, Pen Lan,and several entries were from people who were staying at Domaine de Rochevilaine. It was an unpretentious establishment about 300m from the hotel. There was a business group speaking a mixture of French, German and English. We had a local terrine to start, salmon for main course and creme brûlée for dessert - maybe nothing exceptional, but a reasonable price, with good food and efficient, friendly service.

Don't make a special journey, but if you are in Penestin try le Commerce for a light snack lunch. We had a good Galette and an excellent homemade burger (let down only by the poor McDonalds-style sesame bun. A shame in the land of great bread!)More ambitious meals are available. The ambience was bright and cheerful with good service.monsieur merci pour votre avis je suis d'accord avec vous pour le pain a burger nous avions essayer un autre pain mais les enfants et les irréductibles de macdo ne l appréciaient pas donc nous sommes revenus au pain sésame mais fait quand même par un boulanger cordialement

We found the restaurant during a day trip to Penestin and booked for the next night. The waitress was very friendly and did her best with my school girl french and spoke some english to us. A varied menu of galettes (french savoury pancakes) as well as steak and other meats. The selection of crepes for dessert and ice creams was large and very tasty. The restaurant was busy and the service quick and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal there and would go back.

One of the best restaurants I've been to! We both had the aperitif on arrival (strawberry wine with sardine pate and bread) followed by the menu at â¬38( for 5 courses!) and half a bottle of muscadet wine. My husband chose melon carpaccio, foie gras, saint pierre fish with veg, tome cheese with apple puree, and chocolate nems, and I had the melon carpaccio, crab and celeriac, dish of the day(white fish with butter sauce and vegs), tome cheese and the lemon tuile pudding. All dishes were lovely, well presented, tasty, well cooked and well served. Didn t want to leave a single crumb it was sooo delicious! All in all, it came to just under â¬100 for two and it was a nice way to end our holiday!

The restaurant is part of the Domaine de Rochevilaine hotel, stunningly situated on a headland overlooking the sea. The restaurant has quirky old furnishings and a lovely view.Four of us came here for dinner and were all delighted with our choices. I tried the vive - a fish similar to sea bream. It was served with a kind of chutney that complemented it brilliantly. The wines we chose were reasonably-priced and fabulous. The service was friendly and attentative.I would definitely come here again.
