Average food, average service, average value, although there are not many options in Coustellet. Although there were only two other patrons, it seemed as though we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Not awful service, but not great either, and unremarkable food. It will suffice if all you need to do is fill an empty stomach.

Our small group of friends stopped here for lunch after visit the Abbaye and Gordes. Everyone agreed that this was the best meal we had during our trip to Southern France. Meat, fish and vegetable dishes were all excellent. Desserts were delicious and beautiful. The restaurant is charming and in a great location.

Initially we were hesitant to go here because it was described as a pizzeria. However are we ever glad we did and, in fact, returned the following day. This is the best dining option in Rubion. The staff is wonderful. We had an absolutely delightful time

This restaurant continues to deliver day after day, week after week, year after year. Hugely popular with the locals, the food is superb, the service impeccable and the ambience great. A friendly, fun place. Prices are good value and the formula at lunchtimes, attractive.

A perfect all round experience- setting (we were on the outside terrace at the back, but the interior loooked charming), service (polite and efficient), and food (exquisite flavours, textures and presentation.)What made it also was the fair prices for wine (by the glass, pichet and bottle) and the fact that the set menu (at â¬33) featured exactly the same dishes that were on the a la carte menu. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, but we were glad we opted for the fois gras (small surcharge), the onglet served with pesto and dauphinois potatoes followed by the lightest and booziest rum baba Iâve ever tasted!Wholeheartedly recommended.

Iâm afraid, having known Michaelâs real Old Bistro, his now distant departure is still rued and this pallid version likewise. Expensive lunch served by an inexperienced waiter who did not have the panache to simply say: look, Iâm new here and learning the ropes - if this were the case. Or maybe he had been inadequately trained. He couldnât take a steak order - carefully explained by my friend with excellent French and knowledge of how to describe this to a French waiter. Our starters arrived and were beautiful and interesting (with tomato ice cream) but not highly flavoured. The waiter came 3 times to see if we were finished and on the third, when I was still eating, presented our mains. Weâd been working very hard and had come for a leisurely lunch! And the steak was all but raw and had to be sent back once we could find the waiter who was smoking in the interior. So then my friend and I were out of step. There were other things now forgotten. For the price (no lunch menu or prices) or indeed at any price this was shabby.

This is a nice venue which deserves a good restaurant but has never had one. I think this has just changed hands so we'll see. The service is friendly and there is a smallish menu with enough choice for a casual meal. We chose pizza which were either good or disastrous depending on your selection. My wifes was awful, a pizza base smothered in way too much melted cheese, mine was similar, soggy cheese. Some of the others were ok, this was after we'd had a couple of their sharing platters to start which were fine.To be fair they did remove the untouched pizza from the bill without us asking. So it's great if you like cheese!!Dear dale curtisI regret your last experience about the cheese. We work hard to do the best pizzas. However, we can do mistake. We apologize. We hope to see You soon with us.

We had a great meal here. The trip down to the cellar to select the wine was a nice experience and the steak was amazing. A little hard to find. Be sure to drive around the back of the store front to the back for free parking. The wait staff was lovely and very helpful, to us non french speakers.

To find the restaurant is pretty confusing on a main busy road... The welcoming= 0! Poor tables, ornamented by cheap colors and general 'no taste'. We tryed to change table and this was refused to us as it was too difficult to move 2 forks spoons and glasses (I precise that the other tabes were not resrved). No effort to be kind with clients- the caricature of the French roaring-! With no regret we decided to pass our way and get to another closed restaurant not to be hostages of that trap
