There is no shortage of locations for a cup of coffee in the Constantia area, but for outstanding service and a delightful location La Belle has few competitors. We are regulars, and our frequent visits are rewarded by the charming service of the staff. For a special treat, try the breakfast menu. You will not be disappointed.Thank you so much for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you again soon. We already have the fire crackling for the crisp mornings so are ready to welcome you back.Hannalie

Pastis is a French inspired restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - 7 days a week. Great food, wines and views. Book now!
Pastis was so busy today that we barely got a table. A buzz about the restaurant and an interesting specials board. The mussels were great and good value for money.Dear DavidThank you for your review of Pastis from yesterday. It was a really wet Cape Town day. Today however the sun is out and it is glorious here. Hope to see you again soon.Regards, The Pastis Team

Barely a year ago this was one of my favorite restaurants in the country. But something has gone seriously wrong . The service is sad a total disaster. The food was poor . The waiter blamed the new menu for the service . I ordered the bernaise steak . He insisted the butter he brought me was Bernaise sauce and the customers love it this way . The steak was not done as requested and of poor quality. I ordered wine but it took 15 minutes to arrive and was not what I ordered. I wonât go back . Iâm so disappointed . They did not refund me for the steaks . The worst in a long time .

Always one of our favourite breakfast haunts, Tashas has disappointed for 2 weeks running now. Firstly a usually chosen menu item was not nearly as good as usual (husband), secondly a favourite menu item has been removed from the menu and the nearest similar one was nowhere near as good. That was the first day. Second attempt, my daughter, having 'lost 'her first choice off the menu tried a new item. A wrap came as a flat, baked to hard brittleness disc, mimicking a pizza base, with too much raw red onion mixed in with the other toppings. Uggh too much raw onion in the mouth. Service was very very slow (restaurant was almost empty on a Monday morning early). Generally a drop-off going on here. Come on Tashas, pick up the happy place please.

Four & Twenty is a Cafe & Pantry. We have created a space in which the adoration of food is center stage and the utter joy of living is celebrated as a way of life. The food is as playful and quirky as it is passionate and skillful - and the menu changes
My girlfriends and I met for breakfast and share these sentiments. The place is so cute, love the set up and decor and the atmosphere is the perfect balance of chic yet warm and relaxed. Good variety of great dishes at excellent prices, however the food itself was...well...meh. I gave this feedback to the waitress as well - it looked so pretty on the plate but the flavour was so average. We didn't experience a single thing on our plates that raised our brows in delight, made us moan or lingered in memory in any way - it was just average. I also asked to try their Chillicious paste - luckily i did before purchasing as it would've been a waste - it tasted of nothing.Their coffee was great and apparently the cakes and sweet goodies are too.As for the staff - very friendly - our waitress however,OVERLY and annoyingly so. She was just too text book "Yes absolutely, with utmost pleasure and delight, you are absolutely most very welcome to have this or that, and you most certainly may this and most certainly may that" for EVERY little thing was just too much and unfortunately it felt unauthentic. We actually weren't sure if this was her natural demeanour or if she was acting. Four & Twenty, this is sincere feedback and I hope it helps you understand and improve where you feel you need to.

The Conservatory, situated adjacent to the historic Cellars-Hohenort cellar, offers diners unparalleled garden vistas from both the sun-drenched terrace and the indoor tables. Carefully constructed around a giant 300-year-old oak tree, The Conservatory is
I had a wonderful Caesar salad with just the right combo of anchovy, bacon bits, cheese and, to crown it off, a crumbed, poached egg with a melty, yolky middle. It was as yummy as the view of the trees and the incredible, formidable oak smack-bang in the middle of the restaurant! Also, the bread basket is irresistible! The presentation is also worthy of comment...Dear LaurenShantall,Thank you for the feedback. I must agree with you - the Caesar salad is definitely a great dish.Looking forward to welcoming you back in the near future - if you have not visited already.Kind regards,Angie

Buitenverwachting offers a elegantly casual dining experience, with design and menu reflecting the authentic character of the wine estate. A new wine library was established for pre-dinner drinks and tasting experience of rare and vintage wines.
A favourite restaurant of mine and food, presentation, wine and service were,as usual, high class.mAybe we picked an unfortunate day because there was hardly anybody in the restaurant which is very unusual.Hope this was just a blip and for sure it is not a reflection on the quality of both food and service here.

Eat Out San Pellegrino Chef of the Year Scot Kirton together with highly acclaimed La Colombe pastry chef Glen Williams to open an exciting new restaurant and bakery at the High Constantia Centre.
We booked this restaurant a few days before our arrival as quite close to our accommodation and appeared to offer interesting menu choices. Traveled on dark country roads to reach this small village parade of shops and restaurants. We asked to move table as that offered was slightly away from main diners by colder window. There is a 7 course tasting menu or 5 course dinner menu- we chose the latter as did not like a couple of dishes on tasting menu and could choose what we wanted. Each dish was presented nicely and staff explained the constituents. All were tasty and we each had different items so could try each other.Service was a bit sporadic-not always same waiter and sometimes appeared slow. The restaurant on Friday eve was busy but not full. People seem to eat early so we were one of last to leave having arrived about 7-40.Having just arrived to the area price seemed great compared to what we would expect to pay back home- at least 50% difference favorable.Hi Phil,Thanks for taking the time to write a review, I'm glad you enjoyed your time spent with us!Kind regards,Glen
