A very good restaurant for a stopover to or from the South, Excellent value lunch menu for 13 euros, also a good place to try Lyonnaise cuisine without getting into the traffic nightmare of Lyon

Staying at La Pyramid, we wanted to try the Michelin 2 star restaurant. Unfortunately, our stay was on a Wednesday, the only night the restaurant is closed So we opted for their bistro restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised. While the menu is simple (every food and wine category follows the "rules of 3", i.e. 3 appetizers, 3 mains, 3 deserts, etc.) every dish was very well prepared, the portions were very generous and the prices were low. The Michelin 2 star heritage clearly came across in the quality of ingredients, presentation, and preparation. No, the food was not gourmet (and bistro food is not supposed to be), but it was great in every way. Service too, was competent and friendly

We my wife and I, stayed in this perfect Hotel for the second time, last year we arrived too late to eat in the gourmet restaurant. This year we made better planning. And what a perfect dinner - nice'st service and a humble and caring chefs who visited our table before our departure. The food was an fantastic experience, with several appetizers, Starter.Snails wrapped with cheese, garlic and parsil was an experienced out of the normal.Main course.3 different kind of lobsters. A devined pleasure for both eyes and taste. Especially the lobster Bisk... A great non upscaled 2 Star Michelin restaurants - where good and services are in Focus.Love it and will be back next year.

We were looking for a nice place to eat in the region of Condrieu and darkened Bistrot de Serine's door by accident. We were early, the place was empty and we had no reservation. We were told that the place was unfortunately fully booked. We really loved the place which is a restaurant, a wine bar and also a wine shop with a very serious wine list. We were extremely disappointed and our two adorable hostesses went out of their way to try and squeeze us in. We managed to get a table. What an experience! The wines are very interesting but beware that everything local from Condrieu or Côte rôtie will cost you a ridiculous amount of money. We opted for a more reasonable white Vacqueyras. The food was excellent, fresh, sophisticated, very tasty and extremely cheap. We had the asparagus with poached egg, the salmon clafoutis with lime, the veal with creamy polenta and a surprising Chartreuse iced soufflé. An excellent restaurant!

Not a warm welcome and subsequent service was not very good. However, two starters, two main courses and one dessert were very good/excellent. The problem was that a cheese plate was poor, almost entirely on taste grounds with one piece being bland, another intended as creamy was too dry and another tasted unpleasant. The fourth piece was almost but no better than alright. Before paying the bill it was made clear to the server that we were displeased with the cheese and this displeasure was made clear to the more senior person at the till who ignored the comment and proceeded to charge for said cheese. She shrugged shoulders when informed we thought the cheese was poor. She commented that it was from local suppliers - a non-excuse when she ought to have apologised from the start and taken it off the bill. She then called over the server to confirm we had not actually eaten the cheese course which was rather inflammatory. Only after it was confirmed that the cheese was largely untouched did it come off the bill.Overall then, and affected by poor managerial handling of a routine situation, the rating was reduced to Average.

Restaurant was recommended to us, we arrived around opening time (19.00 h.) at the restaurant and needed to wait a bit. After about a quarter of an hour we were seated at a table outside on the terras near the restaurant entrance-door (we were offered no choice) without a view. So we didnât see the spectacular view as described.Looking at the menu we chose the menu TER ou MER ( 22 euro ), with red house wine (côtes du Rhone).Le Presse au poisson au caviar de courgette with crumbled olive and parmesanThe dish looked great but was highly disappointing. The flavor very flat, not well seasoned , the crumbled part was hardly recognizable in taste.Melon au Porto dans tous son etatsThe melon (Cantaloupe) was good, with smoked ham and cream with porto. As main course we chose Lâidée du chefâ, which was veal. The meat , not seasoned at all, cooked ok, with as side dish pommes de terre gratinées and tomatoes with rosemarinFor dessert we chose the Charlotte. It was served in a glass, like a trifle.Biscuit (or cake?) was the first layer, then abricote compote and on top vanilla-bavarois. For us it was not a traditional charlotte with again a very flat taste, except for the apricots, which were delicious. Conclusion: very average food, glad we didnât take the more expensive 40 euro menuThe waiter was very friendly, the spectacular view we only saw on the parking lot, but it would definitely not have made up for the dinner.

A fine 17th-century mansion, surrounded by a large park. Cuisine is based on the taste of the day, bringing together finesse and creativity.
It was very average to poor accommodation. It was sixty's style adobe with many repair works needing attention. For one night it maybe OK. It is very expensive to eat there and you have to travel some distance elsewhere for food. It was clean enough but needed some TLC. Find better if you can.

Part Of The Hotel Of Same Name But Is Better Known As A Restaurant Only. Needs To Be Listed Separately
During our seminar in Hotel Beau Rivage we had nice dinners. Either on the large terrace or in the restaurant. Both offering a stunning view on the Rhône River. We really enjoyed Lyonnais gourmet cuisine. Unbeatable poached farm egg, pike quenelles, Bresse poultry, hare a la Royale, local cheese, thin apple tart accompanied by Condrieu, Saint Joseph and Côte Rôtie wines. Not to be missed.

Really ticked all boxes. I had a quick lunch in this restaurant before catching a train and wasn't disappointed. Opted for faux filet a point and got a very juicy and deliciius piece of meat with french fries and mushed potatoes. This plus tomato juice and a cup of coffee brought my chech to 23.5 euros, quite reasonable and less expensive I would pay for the same quality in Lyon. Definetely will come here again in one of my next visits to Vienne.Thank you very much ! We are so glad you liked it... Looking forward to see you again at Le Coin du BÅuf ;-)
