This was our second visit, this time on holiday walking the Wainwrights. The service was very friendly, the food cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. We enjoyed a delicious meal last night at Portfino's Bistro. Having visited similar restaurants in town over the last few days and been disappointed, we were thrilled to have found this gem. Beautifully prepared dishes, friendly and attentive service and most definitely excellent value for money.

If you like authentic 'family' Italian food prepared and cooked to a high standard in a small atmospheric restaurant then you will love Fermento. The 'taster menu' is superb and we asked Carla to choose a different wine for each course for us. I think she was pleased to be asked and chose superbly well.
