Find out what European restaurants to try in Chania Town. Much of the old town district of Chania was developed around its harbor, which was built by the Venetians during the 14th century. Its lighthouse still proudly overlooks the Mediterranean. Here you’ll find several cinemas and historical attractions like the Archaeological Museum, a collection of Minoan and Roman artifacts that’s housed in the former Monastery of Saint Francis. Word nerds will especially enjoy the Museum of Typography.

Looking at the photos and previous reviews, I feel that we could have been at a different restaurant. The courtyard setting is lovely and there was live music in the form of two men playing traditional music on guitars. It seems very popular but as a result the service is impersonal and frantic. They brought the main course before we had finished our starters and the waiter looked to my husband to clear space on the table for the main course! The pizza wasnât great, but the lamb chops were good.i tried the traditional Cretan meat pie which was tasty. They brought some lovely small doughnuts at the end of the meal.It may have been our choices, but I get the impression they consider themselves a gourmet restaurant and have higher prices to reflect this, but the food we had was nothing special.

So beautiful...on one of the old town streets...full of character, history and beauty. The restaurant had a canopy of flowers and plants covering it...with an inside and outside part to enjoy the views. We were sitting under the moon that night. Staff were amazing, friendly, attentive, fast and the food was just as amazing. A modern twist on Greek food. Highly recommend!!!

Tried many restaurants in Chania and this one beats all others hands down. The fava bean starter was sublime- a wonderful fusion of flavours and textures. The chicken main course was the most succulent chicken I've ever eaten served with vegetables which were cooked to perfection. A complementary treat of home made chocolate and a shot of liqueur finished this truly exceptional meal off. Highly recommend this place. Service was knowledgeable and considerate. Don't hesitate just go and enjoy the experience.

Corinna Star Restaurant's cuisine cruises the sea of taste following the route of simplicity and authenticity, piloted by Mr. Yannis and his son Vassilis. We renewed our cuisine by simplifying its menu to pure Mediterranean style cooking while, on the oth
Overall the breakfasts we had here were great with a huge variety of food. We had some bar meals which are served by the restaurant which were good value and tasty. Sadly a chicken schnitzel we ordered for lunch was partially raw so they lose one star.

My husband and I visited this place a couple of time while in Chania and it was always great. You can order a half of one type of pizza and a half of another. They are delicious! Double cappuccino- excellent! And the prices are lower than the rest in the town. Definitely a must if youâre in Chania.

Decided to try out the Greek salad after a couple of days in Greece, I tried the Crete salad a couple of times which has been amazing each time with a slight variation on the recipe. But I didnât expect such a treat, the salad was filling, amazingly tasty and had twist to the olives I havenât seen anywhere else. The tzadziki side and the favs bean paste I had ordered as âsidesâ were almost complete meals in themselves.I left very satisfied not just with the food but also with the pleasant and generous welcome to the restaurant by the owner.Highly recommend it, will return for more.

Lively Bar club in the center of Chania, Rock and contemporary music, fine quality drinks and cocktails in a unique historical building.
After meals in very nice tavernas we looked for a more upscale experience and found it at Mon.Es. Located in a gorgeously renovated Venetian building, the restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere, views of the adjacent pool, and views of subterranean archeological discoveries. Service was excellent, the food tasty and beautifully presented. Highly recommended. Especially lamb shank.

Perhaps we expected too much from the rave reviews. Our lamb was cooked to order (medium, as suggested) but tough to cut; mussels in saffron sauce were lovely and fresh, but the sauce heavy with cream and light on saffron. There's good choice of wine by the glass but the lady who served us (not the owner) was reluctant to let us try before choosing - surprising for a "wine restaurant".Hi! It must be a misunderstanding. We always ask our guests to taste the wine. I am sorry to read that the food didnât meet your expectations. You are welcome back to get a better experience with us.

Very nice restaurant and amazingly tasty and well presented food. It is very well priced for what you get amazing value for money as you can see from the pictures a giant pork steak with beautiful fried potatoes and veg was only â¬12.20 you won't get such high quality of food For that price I mean in England a meal with this quality and quantity would cost about £25-30. The staff are all very nice, polite and attentive.Amazing place.

Palazzo almare restaurant is the place where you can experience the tasteful beauty of Greece. Althought we don't try to serve just food, we try to create memories for you and your company!
A nice and buzzing restaurant overlooking the water. The building is a beautiful townhouse converted to provide dining on all floors and lots of tables outside at ground floor. It is definitely worth booking in advance and requesting one of the tables on the first floor balcony which is private and overlooks the water, it makes a special occasion. Otherwise the roof provides a great outside dining experience.Overall the food was good and priced about right.
