It's not a bad place. Staff is nice and the deco gives the place a cozy environment. The down for me was the price i paid for a tart ... Tarte aux fruits du saison.6 euros ... It was delicious but, it was a big cookie with pastry cream and strawberries. Super small for the price. When i think about tarts, i don't expect a cookie with topping.
The is an extension of the dining facilities for the hotel and a good option to try when there are large groups dining in "La Table du Glacier". This space is serviced from the same kitchen, by the same staff with a range of very tasty dishes to choose from

I love to come here every time I visit Champex. After one of the nicest hikes in Champex (petit ruisseau) you arrive in Val d'Arpete were you find this restaurant. With an terrace overlooking the whole valley this is a beautiful spot as well as in Summer as in Winter.Service is friendly, food is typical swiss. Even the coffee is not bad (don;t order cappuccino is Switzerland!!). Children can play in the playground.not 5 stars since it's a little overpriced (what isn;t in Switzerland nowadays??)
We stumbled on this little alpine restaurant during our last day of the TMB, on our way from Trient to Champex-Lac. Such a nice surprise. A wonderful view over the valley, outdoor seating and most importantly the best roesti i have ever had. And i have had my fair share of this typical Swiss dish in my life! Whatâs fun is that the waitress brings you a tick-list for you to build your own roesti from scratch (you can do the same with a croute au fromage). Choose among a dozen of ingredients, including cheese, onions, garlic, bacon, ham, chanterelle mushrooms, etc. and get the dish of your dreams steaming hot i front of you in less than 10 minutes. Absolute dream. And no one will judge you if you go for the full shebang! Accessible by car but the walk from Champex-Lac is lovely, takes approximately 1 hour and is quite easy, taking you through rolling meadows and picture-perfect valleys.

Visited the place on Swiss national day. Glad we could get a table as most restaurants in the town center was full.Very nice and attentive young waitress trying hard to serve us in English. Foods was good and tasty. Tried the famous Swiss national food, fondue, here. Lot of cheese and love the mushroom that mixed well with the taste of cheese.

We have enjoyed Charles and Marieâs hospitality for many years in their previous establishment, so were very much looking forward to seeing them here within the Hotel Mont Lac. Summer is a busy time at the pretty Champex-Lac as it is very popular with walkers. (Plus there are now many other activities like paddle boarding and the double zip lines at the top of La Breya mountain) so this did mean that the small team were run off their feet. The food and wine were delicious and we will be back before too long.

Quai de l' Ours, the new table of Hotel Terminus, offers a simple and seasonal cuisine; authentic flavors inspired by locally-grown ingredients. A dynamic team welcomes you at the bar, in the restaurant or on the terrace from dawn to dusk, in a relaxed at
The place looks very popular and it is certainly well deserved. Simple luminous decor, friendly service and a menu with semi sophisticated dishes, made of good product (many of them variations around Herens beef), that would be successful in any big city... this is a simple recipe but a good one. We had an excellent dinner there and would certainly come back at a next opportunity. All this doesn't come cheap but remains acceptable.

This amazing restaurant, nestled in the Swiss Alps, is one of my favourite restaurants in the Valais. Eating my foie gras was like unpacking a gift wrapped present! Both the embellishments and the foie gras were a pleasure to eat. Then, for my main course, my duck breast was carefully coiled, colourfully decorated, and tasted delicious. Sam, the chef, is meticulous in his choice of fresh, local ingredients which are cooked to perfection and look amazing. He also visited us at coffee time, to say hello and have a chat about our food. So, overall the presentation has a strong sensory appeal making the meal all the more enjoyable. We drank a local gamay wine which went well with the food and was very well priced. I can't wait to visit again!
