Set in a restored old chateau about 5mins to the west of Limoux. A little difficult to find the driveway, a much larger sign on the main road is required. The venue is attractive & interesting. There is a good selection of menus, the cheapest menus are only available on the weekdays. The service is excellent we will return again in 2019 !

Quiet and peaceful garden setting. Sunday night about 7:30pm no reservation but later on people were turned away. Took great care in adjusting the menu to cater for non dairy. Food is well presented with an interesting Asian influence. Take care to read the menu ahead of time since the choices are not extensive.

Le restaurant Le Grain de Sel à Mirepoix en Ariège vous propose une cuisine maison élaborée à partir de produits locaux de saison. Nous travaillons en collaboration avec des producteurs proches de notre restaurant dont certains ont le label bio.
Lovely lunch with friends at Le Grain de Sel, friendly, efficient staff. The restaurant is just off of the main square so itâs peaceful and quiet. The food portions were generous, home cooked food and great tasting. I had the goats cheese and aubergine tartlet to start and it was substantial, probably a meal in its own right. The Veal was also beautiful, tender and flavoursome. Would definitely recommend and hopefully weâll eat here again soon.

An evening meal seated in front of cheerful log fire with friends from local gliding club. Small but sufficient choice of good value menus plus wine and very friendly service and well cooked food. Also one of the rare chances to buy the locally produced Sambuc elderberry aperitif.Intend to eat here again, next time with my wife!

This is the only cafe by the lake. It is pleasant, reasonably priced and the service was very friendly. The lake is small & would be at its best when brimming with families in a hot day. Nice view up to the castle from some parts

No8 at Relais de Mirepoix offers lunch with a choice of 2 starters, 2 main dishes and 2 desserts which you can enjoy this either in our beautiful courtyard or our impressive dining room. Thursday Friday and Saturday nights you can enjoy an evening meal in
We met up with some friends that live locally to Mirepoix and we have been wanting to try this place out. Whilst the prices are at a premium to the region, I wouldn't hesitate to have a meal here. The food was very well presented and delivered great taste with very good seasoning. The owners are very approachable and if appeared all the others dinners seemed to be having a similar experience. We are looking forward to returning for an overnight stay out of season.Dear JocelynHale, Thank you for your review, our prices certainly are a price that represents good value for money and our service represents our beautiful plates. We do hope you will return and enjoy all we have to offer again.
Well, where to begin?. This gem is a beautiful find in a beautiful location. Live music is a regular occurrence with a fantastic ambience and a superb mix of local and travelling conversation. The service provided by Lucy and Chris is second to none and they go out of their way to provide a top class venue to eat, drink, chat and relax. A lovely menu with locally sourced produce is the icing on the cake.

Beautiful restaurant - very welcoming. The Chef came out and talked you through the menu which was delicious. Great choice of wine too. Food was excellent. Looking forward to returning. My favorite restaurant in the area for sure.

We came to attend the wedding of the daughter of our very good friends and because the parents were staying in the Chateau, we were able to visit it. Apparently some of the Chateau dates back to 950 AD and there is a real sense of history when visiting it.We were able to go in quite a number of the rooms and I was just wowed by it.We saw where the wedding was to take place, where the wedding breakfast was to be eaten and where the dancing etc would happen. At all stages of the celebration, the Chateau staff were excellent and I have to say I was impressed. Well done!

Having a house nearby we often frequent this great restaurant. Today we had lunch served in the bar, great value with a set menu at â¬13.50. Starter was a Spanish Salad, main course of chicken, peppers and potatoes, followed by cheese, and desert with a glass of wine. The chef is superb and uses local produce and great recipes. This is the best meal we have had on this trip. There is always a warm welcome from the staff. We have also dined here in the evenings from the al a carte menu. Thoroughly recommend their grilled gambas but any choice will not disappoint. We will return many times I am sure.
