On route from Dublin to the West of Ireland and just outside of Castlebar you will find the most beautiful garden center and after viewing all the wonderful products what better place to visit than the Bayleaf restaurant, have a meal or if not hungry a coffee etc. However when you see the vast array of food offered you might suddenly get your appetite back. Prices charged are good for the quality of food offered and portion sizes should satisfy all.

This cafe has two locations in Castlebar. The dining rooms are small but have a very friendly and open atmosphere where diners often share tables. There is table service as well as take out. Prices are on the high side but the quality and portion size go far in justifying the cost. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Menu is extensive for such a small cafe. All food is freshly prepared. Large selection of fresh deserts. Most food seems to be locally sourced with the menu continually changing. Great place for a quick meal and to meet up with friends.

First time visited this restaurant a few days ago.The restaurant were very busy, but I was immediatelyseated.I odered 'Kelly's Of Newport' Beef Meatballs with Penne pasta in a tomato sauce, sprinkled with parmesan cheese. They're the most tender, deliciousmeatballs ever!, packed with full of flavor in the most amazing rich and creamy tomato sauce.Homey charm. Staff are lovely and attentive, and understand the concept of hospitality.

We are a casual restaurant serving good food at reasonable prices. Our focus is on small and sharing plates.
We chose the â¬19.95 menu because the options were excellent, arranged by sea, land and earth the advise is to select two dishes from land or sea and effectively your side dish from earth. What could be simpler? Well the selection made limiting your choice to two very difficult. Portions are large enough to allow the table an opportunity to taste your choice. Everything was well presented and very tasty. The wine was well priced and as the driver the Seedlip alcohol free g&t was very refreshing. Service was professional, well informed and friendly. The only negative is the high ceiling which can make this lovely restaurant quite noisy. Itâs deserving reputation mean a return visit is only a matter of time. The prawns, duck bao bun and chicken wings were excellent and the mac and cheese was a meal in itself.

Dining Room is a quaint Modern Irish Restaurant, set in the Heart of Castlebar.
My husband and I had an amazing 3-course meal here. Everything from start to finish was so tasty and well-prepared. Lots of the ingredients are locally sourced as well, which is great for our local producers. No gimmicks here, just great quality ingredients, cooked properly. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu, polite and attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant itself is on the small side so itâs worth booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and service - probably not somewhere we will visit every week, but we will definitely be back to treat ourselves!

Taste of the World
We had a very delicious meal with multiple Indian dishes, Vindalu (hot but perfect for one who loves spicy), massaman and Balti style, all ample portions. All excellent. Choose chicken, beef or lamb. Stir fry veggies overdone but ok. Duck roll entree excellent as well as shrimp and fish cake. Service superb. Simple but choices for wine and beer. No alcohol. Nice pappadums to start with sauces with compliments.
