Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here, on the banks of the Dordogne. The owners' English is limited, like my French, but we had a great time nevertheless. The food is excellent, expecially the desserts. There is little else this good in the surrounding area. Feels like home. Wish it was.

Eric Jung and his staff welcomes you every day (without Monday at noon) in a beautiful setting in the middle of the Périgord Noir, 10 minutes away from Sarlat. He proposes a bistro menu at noon and a gastronomic menu in the evening.
Superb location on the terrace overlooking the Chateau and the garden. Service was of the highest standard - the waitress couldn't help us with the English for one item on the menu that we didn't know, but the manageress soon arrived to put that right. Much appreciated. The food was outstanding - fine dining 3 course lunch for just 19 euros. We will certainly return.

A beautiful vine covered patio, great service by Sofia. Elegant, friendly, unpretentious. Many options for menu choices; a contemporary twist on traditional fare, every course was delightful and surprising. Loved the lemon meringue tarte at mealâs end, and the cocktail of the Maison.

Small restaurant in an ancient farm, located in a greenish quiet place. Serving good quality products, vegetables and herbs from the garden, everything homemade.Open all year, cooking classes in the winter.
This restaurant is a little more sophisticated than the other local options and is all the more welcome for it. A endearing welcome, a little aperitif de maison, delicious and beautifully presented food, a delightful view. What more could you want? The menu selection is limited and on a chalk board which makes you think it changes daily but in fact when we returned a couple of days later it was exactly the same. This wasn't a worry but did put us off coming a third (or fourth time) which we otherwise certainly would have done.

Have eaten here twice recently, on each occasion the food and atmosphere have been fantastic.Service is excellent and the staff are incredibly patient whist you mangle their language.House wine is good, and cheap, and their home made pizzas are amongst the best Iâve ever had.

It was time for Sunday lunch so we came off the D703 into St Cyprien but couldn't find anywhere open. Just off the main street we finally found "La Gravette" seemingly frequented by the locals which was a good recommendation. However, there did not seem to be any staff in attendance except a man in the kitchen who came to our rescue, seated us, took our order and brought our aperitif. What was to follow was a feast! We had a delicious vegetable soup, prawn salad (and it was large) with lettuce, carrot, potato, cucumber all cut up in a mayonnaise sauce and decorated with half an orange. We then had Monkfish, saute potatoes with a lettuce decoration and finally Rum Baba with cream + coffee. This little restaurant deserves a five star rating for the helpfulness of the two waiters but most importantly for their food, it was excellent. It also happened to be very reasonably priced.

Had takeaway pizza and calzone twice from La Taverne whilst staying in St Cyprien. A very busy little restaurant that serves really good pizzas. We had three or four different ones in total and all were fabulous. Good ingredients, lovely dry base. Certainly would recommend if wanting pizza and in the area.

I have visited this wonderful place several times and it never disappoints. The staff is wonderful and the food always consistently good. Just get there early or they may run out of what you want. Small and intimate.

You will find here passionate people, who do their best to offer you entirely homemade meals, all made with fresh ingredients selected for their origin, their qualities, their manufacturing methods, mostly organics, and whenever possible locally sourcedâ¦
Prominently positioned on a cross-roads but actually this is not an issue. The main issue is that it doesn't open the early part of the week and that was a great shame as we wanted to come again. Beautifully presented local food brought to you by a smiling, cheerful waitress. The chef cooks with a bit of flair which is a very pleasant surprise.

Five of us had a wonderful meal at Le Bistrot d'Epicure. It was busy on the Saturday night and glad we had booked. The service was outstanding from beginning to end, and each dish was of the highest calibre, beautifully cooked and presented. They were also more than willing to cook steak for one of us very well done yet the quality of the meat was so good it lost none of its moisture, tenderness and taste. If in the Dordogne region I would strongly recommend having a meal here.
