I emphasis the word experience if you choose one of the tasting menus. And why wouldn't you if cacio e pepe on the ala carte menu is Euro 70!! Yes, you will spend Euro 700for two and you will be fascinated by the parade of small plates that are beautifully presented and delicious. Sure I wasn't a fan of a few of the 40+ items that came our way, however, the culinary ride you will be taken on is unforgettable. I often compare such an artistic and flavorful dining experience to buying expensive Broadway tickets. In a way, it's a bit of a show. However, a delicious one. The time and attention it must take to make the majority of the small plates has to be intense. Piazza Duomo is very similar to Blue Hill at Stone Barns in New York which only offers tastings - a bit of this and a bit of that of seasonal, flavorful items. I will mention just one dish - that is the salad made with 100 different garden items. Yes, you get an actual card with all the ingredients. The restaurant is not as formal as other top world restaurants and the decor was "interesting" - the corner wall nearest to me appeared to have to people in a sex position - but hey - did I mention it is an experience? The staff is attentive yet friendly. We were one of the last to leave and was happy to see Chef Crippa pop out to say hello. We were staying in Turin and trained it out. Note that Alba is a pretty place with lovely shops.

Old castle - very nicely located on top of a hill with great view. Try the terrace bar before heading for dinner. Service is very attentive - food selection very good (like everywhere probably). Food is prepared with a lot of attention to details. The architecture of the restaurant is stunning, a great mix of an old castle with very stylish class and very modern design. We liked it very much and can defintiely recommend. Prices are moderate given where you are and what you get.

This is an excellent restaurant with great food and excellent service. Unfortunately the night we went they were also catering a wedding reception and I think that the staff were a little stretched. However, the food was excellent.

Ape Wine Bar has a surprisingly delicious lunch with an extensive menu. Much more than wine and bar snacks, this wine bar has a full menu of pasta, meat, and seafood options. The pasta and dessert that I enjoyed here with a couple of glasses of local white wine exceeded expectations. Service was also attentive and food came out quickly.I would not hesitate to choose this again and again. In fact, I am glad my local connection to Ape Wine Bar introduced me.

Ristorante Pizzeria, Cucina Sarda E Piemontese
I know I've reviewed this place before but today we popped in for a quick simple lunch that is advertised outside as "menu di Lavoro" for â¬10. I chose the mixed antipasto (tuna wrapped in ham, russian, salad, mozzarella with tomato & a white bean salad) followed by fusilli with courgette and little tomatoes. My wife had a salad of porchetta and lettuce followed by grilled sea perch with green beans). A glass of Paitin 2011 dolcetto which was surprisingly not showing its age and it was the perfect light lunch.

On the top of Barbaresco hill, in the central Via Torino, leading to the mediaeval tower, you will come to the tiny entrance of Antine restaurant. Legend has it that the first floor of this ancient house was once a prison. Today you will be welcomed into
We ate at 3 michelin one stars during our Piedmont trip (La Ciau, San Marco, Marc Lanteri) and would place Antine slightly above the best of those (La Ciau). The cooking was inventive yet delicious and in addition to the dishes we ordered the amuse bouches and petit fours were unique and tasty. We had some English translation issues with the service but no big deal. We were surprised the place was pretty empty though on a Thursday night but to be fair it was late August and the whole town was empty. They are clearly going for a Michelin star and not quite sure why they don't have one yet.

This restaurant was chosen based on the recommendation of the owner at the Inn in which we were staying. My husband and I couldn't have chosen a more perfect location to celebrate my birthday. The service was attentive without being pretentious and the ambience had a modern vibe to it. But the food is the real star, deliciously prepared and artistically presented. We were allowed to observe the chefs put the finishing touches on our dinner. This was done through three large round windows separating the dining room from the kitchen. The vegetable platter done three ways was a portrait on a plate and the foie gras appetizer were two of our favorites. But the real eye candy came at the end of the meal when we were served a Black Cherry dessert with a taste to match the look! Our server also helped us select a wine the paired well with our dinner as we were not familiar with many of the local wineries.

Incredible restaurant overlooking the stunning Piemonte region. Service was friendly, humorous and efficient. Enjoyed a few pasta dishes and a perfectly cooked duck. Bread and amuse bouche was outstanding. We sat on the balcony with excellent views and the waiter offered me a blanket as it was slightly chilly. Definitely would recommend to all - menu in English, all waiters speak great English and they have a friendly resident dog to greet visitors who loves hugs.

We had a delightful meal at Wine Story. Itâs truffle season and, having tasted them earlier in the week, at a modest little lunch spot, at a modest price, we were very keen to sample some more. This time the waiter brought a basket of deliciously stinky white truffles to choose from. Our chosen truffle was weighed, and a price per gramme quoted. Did we work it out? No. Truffle was ceremoniously grated over all our food. Delicious! When the bill came, the price for the truffle, scribbled in pencil on a piece of paper, came to 95 euros. Dearie me. At first we thought weâd been taken for a ride. But other guests at our B&B told of a 195 euro truffle, seen at a local restaurant earlier in the week. Truffles are apparently like diamonds - the bigger ones command higher prices! An experience and a half . But one that will break the bank if repeated soon. Service was excellent and the restaurant went to some trouble to accommodate dietary requirements.
