Where to eat European food in Canggu: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Reviews on European food in Canggu, Bali, Indonesia. Canggu is a coastal village and 10 km beach on the south coast of Bali, Indonesia. It lies approximately 10 kilometers north of Kuta, and presents a much more relaxing atmosphere of dining, cultural and beach activities. The main Canggu streets are Jalan Batu Bolong, Jalan Padang Linjong, Jalan Batu Mejan and Jalan Tanah Barak. Along Jalan Batu Bolong you find the temple of the dead, Pura Merajapati, and the Pipitan Cemetery. Along the beach there are two main temples, Pura Batu Bolong and Pura Batu Mejan, which are both hundreds of years old and were initiated for building by Dang Hyang Nirartha. The Canggu area used to have scenic views of paddy fields and coconut groves but current rapid developments are quickly replacing these traditional views with private villas.

Chef Folie Bali restaurant, Chef Stephen Demone, packed his knives and made Indonesia as his home. Folie Bali restaurant is giving you french cuisine made from best local ingredients. The staffs are warmth and helpful. The interior design with mural tropical florish, good design to get some pictures. I see the varieties of fresh salad, my favorite is Folie's Caesar Salad and Fried soft Shell Crab. Please try the sandwich Karangasem Coconut Shell smoked Port belly, taste the melted comte cheese, dijon mustard, and petite salad. The pasta I choose Spaghetti Vongole Sumbawa Clams (local indonesia clams from sumbawa area). Over all, Folie Bali restaurant is a good place to eat French cuisine with local best ingredients. Went there for some deserts that tasted so bad we couldnât even eat them. We asked the waiter if we could pay for one as weâd eaten part of it and as the other was untouched we asked for a refund. The waiter went to ask the manager and came back saying no, we then asked to speak to the manager directly and no manager showed up...I donât even think there was a manager in the restaurant at the time... after waiting for about an hour for the manager to show up (were the only people left in there) we decide to leave and find all the staff round the other side of the building trying to avoid helping us and just waiting for us to get bored and leave. Seriously disappointing service, will not be visiting there again. THE ONLY REASON THIS RESTAURANT IS HIGHLY RATED IS BECAUSE THE OFFER FREE INCENTIVES FOR GOOD REVIEWS.Hey Jack H!Thanks for your review here. We stayed at Ecosfera for several weeks and had breakfast / lunch here everyday. All the food on the menu is really good, same with the juices / smoothies and coffee. Super friendly staff (as everywhere in Bali). They could improve by delivering the food at the same time to all guests at a table (sometimes one was finished when the others got their food). Small place owned by a nice Russian guy. Very good atmosphere with a good playlist.We had some drinks and appetizers, everything was perfect! We recommend this place for an apero, or a nice dinner (even a romantic one!).

This had everything you want for an Italian restaurant, sensational food, friendly service and great bar selection. The decor is fantastic too. The fettuccine Bolognese was out of this world all the taste and texture of a great Italian meal. I also had the pleasure of the spicy sausage pizza that lived up to its name, the home-made spicy sausage really hit the spot. The dirty martini was perfect too. There was not one thing to complain about. If your looking for a fantastic Italian meal that is very reasonable in price, look no further. I wish I could give it more stars it was that nice.
