Once more we returned for a wonderful Easter set lunch. This time the best location was the private garden to the rear with a substantial patio in the sun. It was a mellow experience on this lovely day. Menu was carefully planned and executed. We felt it was a little rushed for no particular reason and we were served by four different staff. Personally I like to try and establish a relationship with the serving staff in order to enhance the experience. Although we recognised some of the staff, that was removed from us.The overall experience was wonderful and very relaxing. Bravo!Dear reviewer, thank you for the nice words with which you describe us , knowing that at our tables you have once again found quality and service honors usAs for the clarification regarding the new "in pressing" dining room staff, I would like to point out that on Easter we were operating simultaneously in three different spaces (garden and two inner rooms). The staff that is usually found at the Locanda was not enough to guarantee a good service and the neophytes still have to learn to overcome the anxiety of the service and the emotion. We apologize for this but we expect you as usual for the August in Montefalco to attend the parade of drummers at the table of the Locanda del Teatro as, if I remember correctly, you love to participate.Paolo e Pasqualino

The location is approximately half way between Montefalco town centre and Cannaiola di Trevi, on a low hill. We loved the experience here because of the elegance of the ambience, the delicious food, the excellent service and the tranquility of the alfresco area. The name of the restaurant is the Italian word for soup tureens, which Francesco, the owner, has been collecting for many years. Lots of them are on display in the villa, which by the way, has wonderful gardens with lots of roses. The dinnerware which was Deruta ceramics and the silver cutlery are refined and very pleasing. Lovely place for lunch or dinner. By the way, the prices are very appropriate to the standard.

Wonderful setting (one of the most beautiful, comfortable spaces I have ever seen), extremely welcoming hosts, and incredible food. Very special place.

What a glorious little place this is, tucked away at the top end of the high street in Spoleto, Umbria. It's clever without being smug, original without being aloof. We were exhausted after a very long day of travelling, and quite grouchy after the fall-out from a broken-down train in Rome, so we really were not in the mood for bad food. 9Cento was charming, funky, calm, and welcoming. My husband had the aubergine pie which was rich and full of flavour, moulded and lightly dressed with a tangy tomato sauce. Much has been said in previous reviews about the amazing black rice dish, with it's striking orange pumpkin topping, but we hadn't read any previous reviews, having only arrived in Spoleto an hour before, so we arrived with absolutely no expectations and the black rice came up trumps. My pasta course with truffle was perfectly balanced, and with just a bit of crunchy topping for contrast. Next to us, four whippet-thin girls were joyfully diving into an elegant antipasti selection, artfully served on a revolving "Lazy Susan". They finished every ounce of this starter, clearly taking the night off from calorie-counting.It's such a delight to see ingredients that you recognize, being handled in such a fresh and original way. Our meal was very good value, and I never had the impression that the restaurant was straining to keep prices down, they were just really excellent preparations of traditional Italian ingredients served in innovative ways. (N.B. not everything was THAT traditional: there was pink Himalayan rock salt in the salt grinder...!)Our host quietly meandered throughout the room, chatting to customers, and really sort of just 'listeneing' to what people wanted to order, rather than 'taking their orders' in a traditional restaurant method. It was all so calm, and relaxing, and reviving, being in this small restaurant, with this beautiful food, on a lovely balmy April evening. When we finally arrived back at our hotel, we felt human again. What a great place to spend an evening. Thank you.

Get there early if they do not have the whole formal restaurant open. This place gets crowded fast. Our whole dinner, with wine, was 65 e for 2 and well worth it.

Gourmet restaurant located in an old fashion Palace. Specialized for wine degustaion and local food.
As part of the Overseas Adventure Travel tour group with 16 members, we enjoyed three excellent nights at Antica Dimora Alla Rocca Hotel. The tour company had arranged for a buffet breakfast each morning, and evening meals as well. Both are excellent, but evening meals exceeded expectations. As with any restaurant, superior service is half the experienceâand La Prepositura has that in spades! I donât recall the serverâs name, but the single ladies in our group were aflutter. I donât know who flirted more, he or the ladies⺠When travelling, I prefer local cuisine and ask servers for recommendations, their menu favorite. After all, they also dine at the restaurant, so they know which have the most robust flavors. The wines were of local origin and flowed throughout dinner, perhaps a bit too much. There was also a sparkling wine available at breakfastâhair of the dog⺠Even if youâre not staying at ADAR Hotel, enjoy a dining experience at this fabulous restaurant in a restored historic building.

Rarely you have the luck to pick the first place nearby suggested by TripAdvisor and find a special place like Cuore & Sapore. You could say that it's a testament to Italian and Umbria's cuisine if you can almost walk into a place at random and have it top the charts of the best places I ever ate at. The average in Italy is so high that it takes an extra gear or two to better it, but this is exactly what this place does: starting with service that was very welcoming and attentive. When it comes to the food everything was homemade and cooked to perfection: from the different types of bread, to the typical pasta, to the desserts. If I was a Michelin guide rater, I'd say that this place is one that deserves a detour if you're in the area.

Probably one of the best dining experiences I've had in Spoleto. Excellent service, an extensive and varied menu, friendly and courteous staff. Each course was presently beautifully, was served hot and was delicious. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. The only issue I had was that the contori was delivered to the table after we had finished the main course, apart from that, an excellent fine dining experience. Highly recommended.

Our love of this land honored through tradition. Situated in the quaint village of Bovara, nestled among the hills and olive trees, you will find "Locande Castellina" Located just three minutes from Via Flaminia Km. 140, and 2 km from Trevi, Locande Caste
A typically Italian authentic meal with excellent personable service and great views .We visit Italy regularly and must say this restaurant is very reasonably priced with locally sourced ingredients and a changing menu. There were 4 of us and we had a great welcome from the owner and his partner .Plenty of patience and enthusiasm to share their menu and philosophy.Hopefully we will return to Trevi next year and re visit Locanda Castellini.Dear friend, we are glad to had you and your friends for dinner and we are happy that you like the food, the wine and the companion. We are looking forward to see you again. Take care and see you next time! Max

Vincanta: - a Deli shop - a Wine&Food tasting Italian bistrot Made in Italy-only food with a focus on local specialties in particular. Raw-milk cheeses only and highest quality of cured meats. Organic wines & food, also vegetarian. Truffle, hemp products,
I went to the place because they had Internet access, but found a great place to enjoy the local food and wine, and some welcome English, since I have virtually no Italian. I enjoyed the experience, ambiance, the food (limited menu) and conversation with the owners. It is just off the main highway, and half way between Spoleto and Tervi.
