It is the capital of the South Kivu province and as of 2012 it had an estimated population of 806,940. I had the pleasure to eat twice in the restaurant Orchids. French cuisine is the base of their menu. The plates are just amazing! I've decided to taste the duck with fruits sauce. Incredible dish. Also, I had the pleasure to taste to dishes of my colleagues and believe me, they were incredible. If you are in Bukavu, you must go to Orchids to have lunch or dinner. It's expensive but worth it.

Friendly bar in which to meet friends and colleagues. Secure setting and full of atmosphere. Not many places to have a relaxing drink but clientele friendly and bar quite spacious.
