Green Cow Kitchens is proud to be a bit different. We are based in a former pigsty hidden away on a remote farm in Whitbourne, on the Herefordshire and Worcestershire border. We are open to the public for dinner on Wednesday - Saturday evenings showcasing

A new restaurant a few miles north of Bromyard towards Tenbury, opened just two weeks ago.It is on the Netherwood Estate and the barn conversion that has been imaginatively done. The furnishings are modern and comfortable, a high timber-frame roof with interesting hanging lamps. It will soon have its own Kitchen Garden as we could see the Gardner's at work.It is easy to find [along the main road] so long as you do not use the post code on your sat-nav. This may take you towards the family home! Check my map, that I think is accurate. We went for a lunch-time meal, at a fixed price - £32 for three courses. The view into the Kitchen is good and new staff coped as if they had been there for a long time.As expected, the food was some of the very best in the area [including the whole of Herefordshire].The journey time is about 30 minutes from Worcester and Hereford. The Manager who is French, is very proud of his regime and did show us the sitting/coffee room above the Bar and the private dining room above the Kitchen. that could seat about 14/16.Do try it, as we enjoyed our post Valentine meal.

My husband and I were greeted by friendly staff, taken to our table immediately and offered menus. The sourdough bread with marmite butter was sooooo delicious- and I donât particularly like marmite! We ordered mackerel and Isle of Wight tomatoes for starters - both delicious. We ordered lamb and quail for mains, again delicious. My lamb was so tender it melted in the mouth. No, the portions are not huge, but they are enough. We ordered cheese plate and the raspberry and white chocolate dessert, both of which were again very delicious. Not at all rushed, so very relaxing. The restaurant is in a great location, very nicely decorated, the staff were attentive and knowledgeable, good wine list - and the toilets so clean you could eat your meal in there should you so choose. One of the best meals Iâve ever eaten. Will definitely return.
