Reviews on European food in Bratislava Region, Slovakia. Bordering both Austria and Hungary and couched between the Danube and the Little Carpathian Mountains, Bratislava is a picturesque city whose natural surroundings are rivaled only by its own historic architecture. Dating back centuries, the Old Town is home to numerous historic churches, castles, galleries and museums, including the Museum of Jewish Culture and Bratislava City Museum. The surviving fortifications at Michael's Gate provide a glimpse into the medieval history of the city.

We arrived at 13:45 and the waiter told us that we could only order the daily meal because a large group would arrive soon. We sat down and the waiter arrived after a few minutes with a terrible soup and he went away (for the second times) without asking if we wanted something to drink. Fortunately we had a little bottle of water that we drunk during the all lunch (I want underline that the costumer saw our bottle but he didn't ask us if we wanna something to drink). After ten minutes (in which we didn't know what to do, because we didn't know in what the daily menu consisted) he arrived for the third time with a spicy goulash (but I don't like spicy food so when I sat down I asked him if there was something spicy in the daily dishes and he told me that there wasn't, so I couldn't eat my meal). In the and, we had to attend 10 minutes at the cash desk waiting to pay this terrible lunch (and the costumer saw us us different times but he didn't care). We were absolutely disgusted by the meals (my boyfriend that likes spicy said that the goulash was acid and it didn't taste well) and by attitude of the costumers. It was chip but I honestly prefer to pay something more but don't go away still hungry.

We would like to welcome you to Nobile, your home away from home, where our Head chef Kaha Kobiashvili creates his delicious dishes with ingredients straight from our farm not far from Bratislava. The selection of wines accompany our meals splendidly. The
Great service. Never tried Beetroot and Beef soup... what a great starter. Then came the Lamb cutlets which were perfectly cooked and smelt amazing! Double espresso to top off a great meal. Only downside was the beer was as weak as the sparkling water. I guess I should have tried a Georgian beer! Would definitely recommend if you are hungry and need a tasty meal. Thanks

We are from Yountville in Napa Valley. We have eaten Italian throughout the world. This place is very good. High energy, younger crowd, good synergy, refined international service. We ordered salmon tartare, tomato bruschetta, insalata mista, pappardelle w/salmon, special duck risotto, Ragler bier, tiramisu and cafe Americana. Everything very good but not exceptional.Server Martin took very good care of us. Recommended...

We are premium Steak restaurant in town. We are known to be the leading restaurant in town offering delicious USDA Prime fillet steaks. We prepare top quality meats from farms in USA, Argentina, Ireland, New Zealand, France, Italy, Spain and of course Slo
Tried one of their specials and although the fillet steak was soft, this restaurant certainly doesn't know how to cook it! It's completely tasteless and devoid of any flavours! Admittedly, there isn't a great deal of culinary choice in Bratislava and, likely, that's the reason for so many positive reviews of this place! It's a less than mediocre steakhouse with less than mediocre service in a badly decorated setting. The only thing above mediocre is the price, which is significantly above many places in Bratislava!Dear customer,Thank you for your opinion. Honestly I don't even know what to improve based on your review, I should probably just close down... Well, given the 99% positive feedback from other customers, I vote against closing. Unfortunately, your comments give me almost no value as an owner and I would love to improve my restaurant based on your review. The meat - it's never been the case that people complain about quality of the food. We leave our meats in their natural taste, we don't marinate them, we don't season them before cooking, we just add a bit of rock salt and red pepper at the end. The taste comes from the meat and this is what we want to keep, our regular customers actually appreciate the natural meaty taste. Service can always be better. Decorations someone may or may not like, hundred people equals hundred tastes. So at the end I want to apologise for not delivering on your expectations. Hope you will find some other restaurants better, even though looking at your reviews, you are quite unlucky with picking up places, given almost half of your reviews are one star... I wish you better choice in the future, so you don't need to experience mediocre meals with mediocre service in badly decorated settings. If you want to give me suggestions what to do better you can write me personal note to [email protected] you

Nice place to visit for a snapshot of the local food. The service is great, staff are very helpful and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Food was presented very well and the both dishes tasted delicious. A must if you are in town. Dear dominicemery,I would like to thank you both for your visit and feedback!Good luck!Viktor

LeTorri is a restaurant with true Italian spirit. As only place in Bratislava we serve sourdough pizza, which is a much healthier choice than a regular pizza. Our pasta is produced fresh every morning directly in our kitchen so we can serve it fresh and t
I can not recommend this place. I know, do not eat pizza anywhere else than in Italy, many would say...All food was cold even the Pizzas. We did complain, and to be a bit fair, we got a new portion -but the same again. The head Chef was terrible I do not think he ever learned cooking. So no we will never ever come back here again.

I visited Houdini restaurant part of 5 star Hotel Marrol's for lunch on a day trip from Vienna to Bratislava.I was looking for a set lunch deal, that had some good variation/options,that had good reviews and offered a competitive price. After extensive research on Trip Advisor I chose Houdini restaurant.I am so glad that I did as it was a 5 star experience from start to finish.Amazing food, fantastic service and smart, elegant setting.Set Lunch is served from 12p.m-3p.m.We arrived at 2.20p.mish,so relatively late but at no stage were we rushed by the staff.I chose:chicken soup, veal with dumplings and had crepes for dessert.I was fully satisfied with every dish. The chicken soup was rich and flavoursome and freshly poured for us with style by our waiter at our table. My mains was first class, melt in the mouth tender veal and divine potato dumplings, marinated in a great sauce.I left nothing in the plate.Crepes were enjoyable as well.3 great courses for just 14.5 euros, this was accompanied by a nice beer.I was more than happy to tip as the food and service was exceptional. This experience was one of the best parts of our day Trip to Bratislava. Thanks Houdini Restaurant.

Maybe we hit a very off night but very poor experience here. Service is shocking and food is solid at best. Asked to see tasting menu 3 times with no joy, then finally got it and first course arrived a moment later even though we hadn’t ordered yet! Local fizz was strange and served warm (but in ice bucket), still water was sparkling, took ages to get the bill. Restaurant was half full (see, I’m a positive person!) on a Friday night and easy to see why.
