Our family spent a good half day or so visiting almost all of the places on the Basque Block. We loved all of them. The entrance to this one is a bit hard to spot at first glance. The door is kinda narrow behind a little fence, but basically right next to the sign.Once inside it is small but laid out well, with a counter on the right, small set of tables doen the middle, and a shopping area on the left wall. Around 4 pm on a Tuesday the tables were all full, as were the few out front. The market sells wines, cheeses, chocolates, and other food items of Basque origin or recipe, and a lot of cultural stuff. We bought some chocolate bars( which all seem to have s peppery flavor or zing), and some wine. Prices were reasonable and they informed us that during certain hours they do wine tastings. The place was clean and service was great. We intend to go back and do recommend.

Six of us celebrated a birthday over bubbling fondue pots. There were children in attendance, so the meal was a bit more rushed than the adults might have preferred, but it was still an outstanding evening that the birthday girl will remember for a long time--it was her choice of restaurant. The menu offers almost too much choice: there are five or six cheese options, and an even larger number of protein options. Even the sweet ending options are far more than I've seen before. I would advise checking the menu in advance to get an idea of its scope. We had many different choices, and all were fresh, beautifully presented and not so generous to keep us from enjoyment without feeling too stuffed. There is beer and wine but no cocktails or spirits.Thank you and the birthday girl for joining us for your celebration. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. We hope to see you again soon!

So good! Loved seeing German beers I had never tried elsewhere and some that I haven't seen in ages. Bartender was super friendly and so knowledgeable, made for a great solo time at the bar spent learning more about beer areas in Germany. Food was simple and good. Great a/c'ed stop on a ridiculously hot July day. Definitely will return when in the area.

Geez. Jamie runs a nice place!Clean, well organized, easy to find, huge parking area, awesome food, great service, crazy good prices. We ended up here because another close by restaraunt was too busy and we were all very hungry. Right when we walked in it smelled delicious. It is divided into a dining area, a counter, and a grocery store, filled with German food products. The owner, Jamie, introduced himself and explained how they have a special of the day and a deli type sandwich menu. He also explained that if we bought 6 of the German beers from the grocery store, he would give us 10% off on the beer.4 of us all opted for sandwiches. You fill out an order slip, customizing your sandwich, bread type, meat, cheese, veggies, condiments. In addition they have a beer refrigerator, which also holds German sodas and juices. Huge selection. Pay at the counter and watch the magic happen. This place is incredible and we will go back.4 of us, 4 whole sandwiches. $35.
