Not only would we have never found this little gem without TripAdvisor, standing outside we might have entered without reading the reviews. Sat out the back in the sun with a beer and pizza - perfect! And even better, the food was generous and excellent too. Friendly staff as well.

Superb new Restaurant, Bar and Hotel in this charming village on the Canal du Midi specialising in wonderful fresh fish.
I visited this restaurant on recommendation from my local B&B hosts. Making a reservation is essential as it is popular with the locals. At dinner time they only had a choice between theee different types of set menus where you can choose between various options for starters, main and dessert. I had the most amazingly fresh oysters, a pan fried cod dish with a number of vegetables and a peach melba. Each dish was stunningly tasty and well presented and I must say it was a most satisfying dinner.Service was relatively quick but I arrived before all the tables filled up (even at 9pm all tables were full and more people were coming in). The wait staff were cheerful and despite only speaking very limited English, managed to serve me without issues. I used my extremely limited understanding of French and google translate to fill the gaps. They didnât have English menus but that was not an issue as the wait staff that did speak English will explain things where necessary. This is a restaurant not to be missed if you are anywhere nearby in places such as Beziers, Serignan, Portiragnes, Agde etc or passing by on a boat on the canal midi.

Like stepping back in time to the 70's, which apart from the sexist "women's menu" is a good thing. Lovely classic french cooking and great service. Nice to see Daniel Radcliffe found work after Harry Potter as the Sommelier The 30⬠menu isn't available at weekends but the 45⬠menu is well worth the money.

Notre restaurant est lieu de vie, simple, convivial. Ma cuisine : c'est de la bistronomie, cuisine simple de terroir, produits de qualité et de région. un service simple, efficace et avec le sourire. Menus à prix doux !
A wonderful delight. Almost no French from me, but a dinner of wonders. The menu is called âsurpriseâ. Yes, it was. To begin, an amuse bouche of carrot and ginger mousse. Starter of floating rice cake in floral milk. Main course of veal and potatoes and onion. Then comes the three fromages with saint nectaire, tomme, and rocamadou (?). Desert was an aubergine light chiffon cake with coffee ice cream, caramel sauce and blackberries. Wine a delicious Minervois Domaine Plo Notre Dame 2015. Oh, and the fun part. You get to drive to the mountaintop of Old Béziers. You will appreciate the humor after the fact. During, not so much!!Dear Customer,Thank you for sharing your opinion on TripAdvisor.I thought of the cuisine of my restaurant as a simple and generous but modern cuisine, based on carefully selected products. The cuisine reflects our love of the good. Our desire is to give pleasure to our customers, it is a joy to read that you appreciated the setting, the service as well as our commitment in cooking.I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Maison de Petit Pierre.Best regards,Pierre Augé

Lovely pizzas on a perfect stoneground base - Delicious. Friendly staff. Not expensive, typical pizza restaurant prices 9-13 euros.Would certainly recommend. Not a lot of space or tables so may be best to book ahead.Always pretty full.Just opposite the train station.

Stylish, seasonal Mediterranean cuisine by chef Valere Diochet . Our menu changes frequently to take advantage of the best seasonal local produce. A relaxed restaurant not molecular gastronomy or liveried staff. But super fresh Mediterranean dishes and br
Les carrasses is exactly that we were missing here in our region. Beautiful property, breathtaking views... modern and traditional at the same time. Most of the clients are anglophones, so the menue is friendly to international tastes. Possibility to drink at the bar, eat outside or inside. Menue changes often. We remarked that the food was of higher quality during the low season. Looks like the chief struggles to meet the high demand at the high season and not always gets a success in it.Two main negative points: the service and the price of wines. The service really needs to be improved. As for the prices of wines... well, guys, we know as well as you that we are in the region where the wines cost pea-nuts. So, we are quiet shocked not to find any single bottle on the wine list cheaper than 28 euros (+++). This only reduces the consolation. Apply the fare price (not multiplied by 5) and clients will order 2 bottles instead of one. Otherwise nice property, we will be back and advise our friends to go there.Hi Mary,Thanks very much for your review. We're glad you liked the Château so much, though we're sorry you didn't feel that the service was up to scratch on this occasion - we work hard to ensure excellent service at all times, and have brought your comments to the attention of the team. We're a bit surprised by your comments about the price of the wine though. We pride ourselves on showcasing the best of Languedoc wines at great value for money, with the wines starting at â¬19 for our own Les Carrasses cuvees; We have 35 different bottles at less than â¬28 (more than half the list!). Perhaps you were looking at the list of daily specials? In any case, we look forward to seeing you again at Les Carrasses, and the opportunity to show you some of the great, reasonably priced wines we offer. Thanks again for your review.
