This is one of the best places to eat in Grado, especially if you're with a group -- portions are usually HUGE, and menu is based on local specialties, heavy on the cheese and red meat. Menu del Dia is an especially good value, with lovely desserts to squeeze in after great trays of cachopo and steak and fries... Vegetarians are a bit of an afterthought. A platter of grilled veg is always a nice option, but the portions of this particular entree are surprisingly small. Salads come heaped in a big bowl, but are mostly iceberg lettuce beneath the trimmings. This is a fine restaurant, I only wish they'd put some effort into the veg. options. This restaurant is 8 or 9 kms out of Oviedo to the South West, just outside a village called Las Caldos (hot Springs) where there is a large spa complex.This is family run bar and restaurant in a tiny Hamlet, you can easily miss the Restaurant - it is bright blue - this may help! It is set on a hillside with a great view over the river valley below. There is a large terrace and a small bar area, once you go inside there is a friendly welcome, and your are shown through to a large dining room, along with a semi outdoor and a further outdoor terrace dining area.They generally have a set menu, including a veggie/vegan option, as well as an a la carte menu. For 22 Euro you have a choice of three starters, three mains,and five or six deserts. We had the choice of:Fabada (local bean stew similar to Cassoulet) , Octopus and prawn Carpaccio salad, salted cod pate, Cook your own steaks on a hot mountain rock, Wild boar casserole, Grilled Fish.We had the Octopus, Salted Cod, Grilled fish and Wild Boar Casserole. All were great, good portions, - not too big, but lovely fresh ingredients, well prepared and with very friendly and helpful service. All the puds seemed great, I got the impression that they would change frequently. So slightly more expensive than some "local" restaurants, but a great experience, good quality food, in an ideal location. We will return.

que por supuesto es la del jubilado y han cerrado. Dejaron atrás ollas y sartenes y gozan de un merecido descanso. Gracias por muchos momentos de felicidad. "Va, pensiero, sull'ali dorate";os recordaremos con cariño y seguro nos encontremos en algún recodo del camino. Un abrazo
