We came across this little restaurant by accident and what a lucky accident it was. Small restaurant, lovely ambience, impeccable service, food one of the best meals we have had in France (and we live in France so you know this must have been something very special). Cannot rate this little restaurant highly enough.

We walk-in due to the good review on tripadvisor. The food was ok, service very stressed, location very small. When we paid, we did the mistake not to check the bill correctly, and realised only on the next day. There were drinks from other table on our bill, please take time and check.

Myself and my wife went to this restaurant after reading a few reviews. We went on a Thursday evening and had a superb time. The host is the heart and sole of the place. He is fantastic, engaging and obviously loves his restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely but more importantly the food was very very good. My Takati beef was stunning. If you go go for the evening. Dont rush. Its great.

If youâre looking for a place to taste some good crepes for desert, donât come here. Poor service (from the owner?). My wife and I were excited to try this place. 2pm. Probably not the best time for a desert. Only one table taken and still not willing to sell just a couple of crepes Bonjour,Nous sommes un restaurant, nous servons donc des repas complets à l'heure du déjeuner, comme tous les restaurants.Nous gérons nos tables essentiellement au travers des réservations effectuées par nos clients. Enfin, nous informons toujours nos clients, qui désirent ne prendre qu'une crêpe sucrée à l'heure du déjeuner, que cela est possible, mais à emporter.Bien à vous.

Well, after trying for three years, we finally managed to make a dinner reservation on a night and at a time that was suitable for us! It definitely was worth persevering because we were not disappointed at all.Service was extremely good and friendly. Menu was small with one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian option. But what they had was excellent. We would definitely come back again...if we can plan ahead and make the booking in advance.

Small friendly place 50 metres across the tram tracks opposite the St Jean station entrance. We opted for tapas, as we aren't huge burger fans! Best value for a couple or more, is to go for a mixed platter of 5 different tapas, rather than buy separate platefuls at â¬5 each. The food arrived quickly and the wine by the bottle is reasonably priced. There are other restaurants in the terrace, one very poor, so we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one. We were confused about the opening hours on here, and when we arrived at 17h00, the place was shut. We went back at 18h00 to find them just opening. The hours when food is served are stated inside to be12h00-14h30 and 18h00-22h00. This place is such a gem, I had a lovely welcome when entering the restaurant itself (I hadnât booked). Itâs a family run affair and they all seemed to really enjoy it too. Just to pre-warn this isnât a single dish place, you have to order 2-3 course and trust me itâs worth it and itâs not overpriced at all.I went for two courses, a starter and a main (Plus some lovely wine). You have to try the salmon. This is quite a simple review for me but if youâre in Bordeaux make sure you go here for dinner - You will not be disappointed!!All the team is very happy to read those lines ! Atelier des Faures is a very small restaurant located in the area of Saint Michel in Bordeaux. The area is a bit more ethnic and rough than the touristic central quartiers and so is the the restaurant too. The dining room is small and directly connected to the open kitchen, which allows guests to watch the chefs in operation. This creates an interesting feeling of craftsmanship. The menu is short and written on a chalk board. We chose cogues and a sort of sausage salad for the starters and pasta risotto and bonite for the main course. All portions were tasty and nicely served and it was easy to see that inspite of the plain looks of the place, the food is gourmet level. Atelier is definitely worth the extra walk from the center.

Our first dinner of our month long visit to Bordeaux was here. We were so impressed that we chose Sonâ for our last dinner. First of all, the room is stunning! A perfect blend of old and new, sleek and modern compliments the gorgeous ceilings. The staff is friendly, welcoming and very efficient. One menu, a 45 euro, five course, culinary adventure, changes daily. Well chosen wine list. On both visits, we shared foie gras, a nice potion for only 10 euros. We thought the first dinner was perfection with several high points...maybe all high points. The second dinner was not so successful, with a couple of misses. In both cases, the dessert was a scene stealer. Plating is artful, complimented by unusual serving pieces. The young chef is creative with a real sense of adventure, that is very evident. This is a very good restaurant, with loads of potential to be truly great, but itâs not there yet. Itâs still in itâs infancy. We went for dinner.Small but cosy place. It might be better to book.Great smell in the air on the street coming from this amazing restaurant.The pizza is really delicious!! So good!!We had panacotta and chocolate mousse,too. Both wonderful!!We drunk a bio red wine from Bordeaux ( Clos le Mas). Didnât disappoint! Really nice!!!We Will definitly be Back!!!
