We visited the Restaurant with friends for a 'catch up' evening meal. The setting was beautiful...we watched the sun go down as we ate. The service was very good and the waiters spoke English as well as French. The menu was comprehensive and catered for all ages and tastes. The food was delicious....good quantities, great quality and served promptly. Booking recommended as this restaurant is very popular!

Visited Curemonte for the European Heritage Day and decided to take Sunday Lunch here. The signs were good because by 12-30 the place was packed. Glad we booked!! It was everything this and other restaurant review sites said it would be. The set lunch could be selected from the 21, 22 or 25 Euro menus - we chose the 25 Euro menu ( i.e. 2 entrees - we were hungry!). We had the Kir Maison as an aperitif and found it to be a sublime variation on the Kir theme - using the local chataigne liqueur, rather than cassis. We then chose a pichet of the full bodied "house red" to accompany our meal - delicious.A rich vegetable potage came as the normal "introduction" - we found it so rich and tasty, we had to be careful not to over indulge - we had 4 more courses to go! You can ofcourse, decline the soup / potage if you want - no offence is ever taken! My partner chose the house salad which was a wonderful mix of smoked duck breast, black cherry tomatoes and a crouton, topped with grilled Rocamador cheese; all sitting on a bed of crispy lettuce, covered in ground chestnuts and walnuts. She found it HUGE and delicious. I chose a warm melange of goose gizzards and champignions, in a rich red wine sauce, with a puff-pastry top. A fabulous starter for a damp, chilly autumn day..We both chose to follow this with the shoulder of lamb - beautifully roasted in a herb gravy, accompanied by a muffin-sized pommes de terre dauphinoise; which had a deliciously crunchy garlic / creme fraiche crust. After an extended break we tackled the cheese board - local Cantal vieux, bleue d'auvergne and goats cheese as well as the inevitable Saint-Nectaire. Once again, it was hard not to over indulge and to remember we still had dessert to come!!I chose the coffee vacherin and my partner chose the walnut tart with walnut ice cream - both were absolutely heavenly!! We then rounded it all off with strong coffee and -- some traditional Correziene songs sung by a gentleman from a large group-table next to us. We were the only Brits in the place so we were the only table NOT joining in with the choruses!!Our experience of genuine and homely Correze culture made this une journee du patrimoine to remember!!

We were recommended this restaurant by our hosts in Beaulieu. We decided on lunch on a beautiful autumn day. The outlook from the outdoor eating area is stunning with the river over the road and forested hills all around. This is a family restaurant which has had 3 generations of family operation. There are a number of set price menus which allow a number of choices for each course. We decided on the 25 euro option. We started with entres of smoked salmon and a cheese, walnut, fig puff pastry dish. Mains were the Hake, duck and pork. The three desserts available were all tried..a creme brulee in chocolate and custard (provided separately), a pear dish and the flambe which served two people. We backed this substantial meal up with some local regional wines. The meals were beautifully cooked and tasty, and the ambience of the location added to the experience. Service was excellent. A wonderful long lunch in a beautiful little village in France.

Having been directed to the âdrink onlyâ area (other people were sitting in the square with drink only!) I sat and was ignored, went into bar and helpful bar staff provided a lovely coffee- hence 2 stars not 1. Coffee great staff indifferent.

Already reviewed as a hotel, but it is an outstanding restaurant in its own right - in our experience the best in the town.
Beautiful meal, wine and service. Exquisite, sophisticated cuisine at reasonable prices. Original dishes using locally sourced ingredients. The chef deserves an accolade. The service was efficient, friendly and non-intrusive. I only wished I had known that they have beautiful bedrooms too since we were already staying at a different hotel.

We were five for dinner. The service was friendly and pleasant, the meal was imaginative and delicious. In a region where the menus tend to be similar, Le Beaulieu seems to have gone to the effort of being a little different with much success. Our monkfish with curry sauce and stewed vegetables was superb as was a starter of a colorful salad en twined with tuna . Even the dessert was unusual blueberries and vanilla flavored cream on a crunchy speculoos bisquit. Very tasty indeed. . We will return!

Le Restaurant Le Turenne, recently reopened, is expertly orchestrated by it's new Chef, Pascal Steffan, who's reputation precedes him. He chooses to only cook fresh local products. He offers a fine, generous and authentic French cuisine. Cécile, warm and
Lunch on the terrace was a great success with all the family (ages 8 years to 68 years). The children's menu at â¬10 - spaghetti bolognaise followed by a strawberry "tiramisu" was voted best meal of the holiday (so far!) by the grandchildren, while all the adults opted for the â¬26 set menu (other options were "Menu du Jour" at â¬16, set menu at â¬32, and a la carte). Starters were either asparagus or salmon; mains were pork chop or daurade (sea bream); and deserts lemon tart or strawberry pavlova - selection was hard, but everyone voted their choices top rate.
