The originality of the restaurant is that you can compose your meal (salad, hot pasta and rice, hot/cold sandwiches and wraps) with a large choice of fresh and homemade ingredients. For only 10.90â¬, you can savor an hearty dish with a drink (fresh orange'

Reasonably priced Michelin star restaurant with nice atmosphere and great food. We had the asparagus and octopus plates which were all excellent, well presented and with several other refined accompainments. Topped it off with the Grand Marnier soufflé. Unless you are a very picky eater, you can't go wrong in here if you got the budget.

Really good dinner in Biarritz - we had a stopover in Biarritz for one night, before we started the Camino de Santiago so we were looking for a nice dinner as there was 8 of us. I struggled to find anything on the internet that looked any good, so was really pleased when I found L'Entre Deux. Exactly our sort of place - casual, friendly, small restaurant, serving top notch quality food. Small menu but everything they did was exquisite, and service was great too. Thank you!

We found out Bantu Chez Mattin by chance as we were staying just 5 mins along the same street for a 3 day break. Our host recommended this and also Maitinea - also worth a visit. We managed to get a table for our last night and on a Wednesday evening in September it was still full. The food is jus superb and worthy of all the reviewsWe had the millefeuille - layers of foie gras, smoked trout and thinly sliced green apple and also the Japanese ravioll stuffed with black pudding served with langoustine tails. Both delicious! For mains we had the turbot - served expertly by the waitress.Too full for desert.Despite what other reviewers have said about no English spoken, whilst the waitresses donât speak English the lady owner, who introduces the specials each evening, speaks perfectly good English and will help those having difficulty understanding the menus.Just canât recommend this more highly, one of the best restaurants Iâve been in!

I rely on tripadvisor for recommendations.Mendaur Berria was listed as number one in San Sebastian and lived up to its ranking. We did something a San Sebastian resident would never do. We ate all our pinxos at one place. We couldn't see the point in going anywhere else. Nothing could be as good as this!Dishes can be ordered as pinxos size or racion which is bigger and probably meant for a few people. We had a racion size dish of calamari and then pinxos size of 8 other dishes followed by the lemon pie for dessert. We waddled out after paying EUR46.50!Originally we had booked a Michelin starred restaurant but cancelled it. We have been to a number of Michelin star restaurants around the world and have always walked out thinking:'OK but not worth the money'.Mendaur Berria food is beautifully presented and the server described each dish when they brought it to the table.A must visit, worth every cent!Thank you very much for your lovely words, for the visit and the review. We love that you enjoyed your experience in our house. Your opinion is very important to us, because is the way forward. We hope to see you again soon. Best regards.

Welcome to Les Frères Ibarboure where culinary excellence and the art of hospitality run in the family. The new generation of brothers, Xabi and Patrice Ibarboure are now at the helm of this Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant on the Basque Coast. The
If you can find your way to this restaurant--a considerable challenge--you'll have one of the best meals in the region. I disagree with a previous reviewer who claimed the cuisine was unimaginative. I thought it was interesting, refined, and... imaginative! The setting is also a treat: large windows making for a luminous dining room, well-spaced tables, and lovely views. The best among the 5-6 Michelin starred restaurants in the Biarritz area at which I dined recently.

This restaurant shows what personal management and loving care can do for a big old "caserio" and transform it into a superb setting, particularly the terrace which used to be their chicken coop. You are welcome by an extremely friendly and knowledgeable host that is member of this family who has owned the property for several generations. He also manages the staff and it is pure poetry to see them work discretely and efficiently. We chose a la carte as the menu would be too much when we were in somewhat of a hurry to make a la later escapade to nearby Saint Jean de Luz.After an excellent amuse bouche we ordered their stir fried foie gras in chick pea broth and cabbage and their mushroom with egg yolks and foie gras flan; both outstanding choices for starters . For main, we chose their special of cod ajoarriero ( a Naverrese specialty- and a nod to San Fermin feasts in relatively nearby Pamplona) with lobster and the roasted turbo in sherry sauce and mini leeks and artichokes. Definitively outstanding in flavor and presentation, indeed the ajoarriero had more lobster than cod and from the fish we ate even the crisp skin. Their dessert with their own version of cheesecake with berries was nothing like standard restaurants call cheesecake this thin version from local dairy ingredients was just amazing. The whole was accompanied by selections of homemade breads. Their wine selection was excellent and at good prices considering quality .

We offer for lunch : Our sandwiches on crusty bread , salads, seasonal dishes , slate cheese and desserts. For the evening : We are on a concept of meals cheeses , slates ( for 1 person) with salad , candied and wines that can be granted to each cheese an
This was much, much smaller than we anticipated - basically a few tables next door to the cheese shop. Nevertheless we decided to trust the TA reviews, and were glad we did. This place does what it does very well - cheese and wine only. Don't go with a non-cheese lover thinking there will be something else on offer - there really won't be!I had the cheapest assiette on offer - all very pleasant and mild. Husband had the next one up which was a bit more feisty and included a good blue cheese.Service was good.

This a lovely restaurant that gives an impression of intimacy without being cramped. The cooking is absolutely first class. We shared a starter platter of home made foie-gras, rillettes and lightly smoked duck breast, followed by delicate, perfectly cooked trout with sea vegetables. Service is personal and charming. We would have come twice if we had had more days in Biarritz.
