Our first night in Barnard Castle and looking at the menu this afternoon we booked a table, I was hooked when I saw belly pork.What a good choice, the food is excellent and plentiful, enough pork to feed 3. Salmon ghoujoins which must have been 2 fillets.Add in superb service and value fo money and we will return before we go home Thank you for your wonderful review, we are pleased you enjoyed your Belly Pork as itâs our no1 seller. The Teesdale Restaurant is a family business providing a full range of British and Continental meals. All our food is home made and prepaired on the premises by Chef Craig. We are happy to serve you with snacks and sandwiches or a full three course lunch.
My husband and friends called here for a break while out cycling, he had a scone which was delicious. On leaving he left his cycling bag which he discovered some time later. I got a phone call could I ring a cafe in car park at Barnard Castle, luckily managed to get number. I rang what very helpful staff could not locate at first then is was spotted been put to one side. We picked it up Sunday. Thank you Travellers Rest Cafe they will be back.
