We came upon this restaurant by chance; we were driving around, looking for somewhere to eat for our large group of 2 families, including 7 children. We noticed this place had enough outdoor tables, plus parking in front, so we stopped. We were surprised to find German dishes on the menu, which was a nice change after eating pizza for a while (even though we LOVE pizza here). The service and food were outstanding. The waitress was so friendly and warm and welcoming, and spoke quite a bit of English. We ordered a bunch of dishes, including the Bigoli with duck sauce, Tri-Colore Spetzle, Schnitzel, grilled sausages, and a huge hunk of meat that was perfectly seasoned with tasty gravy. My picky son loved the bigoli and pork leg. It was a nice evening and the kids could play by the tables as it got dark and the adults finished eating. A nice, quiet little town too. And, the prices were great. We will be going back to this one.

We were there as the first clients and the owner tooked a lot of time explaining the menu because it was all writen in Italian. We followed his suggestion and afterwards we were pleased with his choise. After a while there were more customers. Even some rich peope where dining there.Thank you very much for your opinion. I had the opportunity to discover Cricheoln for lunch while on business in Vicenza. This restaurant is located at the top of a huge hill and is surrounded by vineyards. The food at the restaurant for lunch was top notch high end family cooking. The plates are not fancy but are authentic northern Italian dishes. During our meal we were treated with sparking white wine to start our meal. My appetizer consisted of Baccalà mantecato con crostini al burro e polenta brustolita . This fish dish was perfectly prepared. For my main dish, I ordered Scampi in pasta Kataifi su daddolata di verdurine croccanti. The pasta was prepared al'dente and the fish blend just melted in your mouth. This meal was accompanied by a nice bottle of white wine. We enjoyed our great meal while enjoying the great view overlooking the hills.I will definitely come back for lunch or dinner and may also consider staying at the hotel which is located on the top of the hill next to the restaurant. Overall great atmosphere and fabulous food at moderate prices.

One of the most significant places to eat around Vicenza. Very interesting menu, fresh and tasty food. A bit sophisticated and pricey but if worth it.Do not hurry to order desert, there is a cheif's special sweats waiting after you are done;)
