The service was impeccable and the food simply amazing. We had a three course meal that was paired with wine. Started with a lovely amuse bouche. I had the scallop appetizer which was wonderful and my husband had the tuna. We had the monk fish and the pork for our main course - everything was â to die forâ!!!! The presentation was beautiful. Highly recommend if price is no object!!! Lovely setting overlooking the mountains. I wish I could remember all of our waiters names because they were all wonderful.Thank you so much for your response. We are very happy you enjoyed your special dinner. Good pub food and drink with a European influence. Food was well cooked. The patio is really nice overlooking a hole on the golf course. Great views of the mountains and right near Bow Falls. Food was served quickly but service was a bit slow once it got busy. Good spot!Dear Valued Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share such a lovely review on TripAdvisor. It was wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed your recent visit. There's no better way to spend an afternoon than out on the patio!Warm regards,Jeffrey C.Food and Beverage Manager

Nestled in the woods above the Bow and Spray rivers, you will find our Bavarian cottage-style Waldhaus Restaurant. Feast on a hearty menu featuring authentic Alpine cuisine, including Schnitzel and Fondue, in an atmosphere reminiscent of an old hunting co
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Waldhaus during a recent stay at Fairmont Banff Springs. Our reservation was honored, and we were seated immediately at a comfortable table. Service was professional and efficient, and the food was outstanding. Good raclette is hard to find, but mine was perfect--molten cheese, served with an ample array of excellent charcuterie and pickled veggies--classic! The potato bisque also drew raves. We tried all the schnitzel options, and agreed that all were great--I can particularly recommend the Jaeger--a huge portion of veal perched on a bed of the best onion spätzle ever! Really didn't need dessert, but who could resist a classic apple strudel?

Our Trafalgar group had our farewell dinner here. The food was excellent. Cheese fondue was the appetizer. I ordered the chicken breast, which was very good and came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The steaks, salmon, duck, all looked good too. Nice cozy atmosphere. Gluten free options available too.
