Finally ate in this restaurant on the final evening of our stay at the camping. Majority of the staff at the restaurant appears to be italian, which possitivly effects the food. Dishes are average but nicely prised. Good to have this at the campingsite'

réouverture 1 er weekend d avril 2020 a bientôt et bon hiver à tous REMI Magaly Charly et Kamille
We were doubly lucky. Staying in a friend's house in a little-known but very charming village - Cavillargues - we discovered this lttle-known but charming restaurant about 15 minutes walk out of town up the hill. Husband and wife run and they keep their menu fairly limited - which is probably a good idea because it allows them to do what they do superbly without compromise. There is still plenty to sustain 2 visits (and probably more) - which we know because after a lunch there with friends we decided it was the right place for an evening meal to celebrate our anniversary later in the week. You get a warm welcome from Remy - who does front of house very well indeed - and get seated out on the terrace with a delightful view over the village and beyond. The dishes are inventive and delicious. Beware the starters - even the ones labelled salad are at risk of spoiling you for your main. So go along hungry! Drinks as everywhere in France are not cheap but you get as generous a measure as the dish servings - so no complaints. By the way the local Rose wines are a speciality - and worth having a go even if you aren't a Rose person. A hugely pleasurable - but very low key and relaxed - experience.

Hotel restaurant ****
This is a restored old mansion, done under the guidance of the owner, an architect. The house is restored with great taste, and good quality craftsmanship. The restaurant is particularly pleasant in the summer when you can sit outside in the magnificent garden. Our lunch was with a set menu, which gives you a few alternatives, fish, or meat. Food is excellent and wine selection is acceptable. Highly recommend.

We just keep coming back to Le Bienheureux. A bit off the beaten path, in a lovely small village, it is well worth taking the time to visit. The folks are lovely, the chef prepares fresh fare beautifully, and the summer salads prepared lovingly by L. more than copious and refreshing.Only thing is they don't accept credit cards.
Seasonal restaurant open from May to September in the campsite Les Genêts d'Or facing the pool. It serves traditional dishes with specialties from the region. Open only for evening service. Bar / Ice cream from 14:00. The restaurant also offers delicious
Leuk!

Very nice one. I recommend it. That's the second time I come here and I am not disappointed.
Tout a été pensé pour passer un très bon moment au Chill. Vos sens sont en éveil grâce au décor de la salle à lâambiance musicale douce et aux parfums des plats servis (produits frais et préparation maison). Une belle adresse à découvrir...

I hope the local people will forgive me if I say that Bagnols does not have many obvious attractions for tourists. Nevertheless, over the past decade a couple of streets and one square - Place Auguste Mallet - have been renovated and the town now has a very impressive Médiathèque with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. To these attractions can be added the restaurant "O pas sage". Situated in the afore-mentioned Place Auguste Mallet, this restaurant offers an intriguing menu, friendly and informative staff, good wines and excellent cooking. My partner and I were courteously welcomed and guided through the menu by our waiter. We each chose a different platter, each of which was rather like a lot of tapas all combined on one board. We then ordered our wines by the glass and the waiter gently suggested to my partner that it would be better to change the red wine chosen for his platter - containing as it did foie gras - and have instead a white wine with a strong character. My partner agreed and was delighted with the result. I was equally pleased with my choice: superb produce cooked by a chef who knew his ingredients. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Full of local people many of whom knew each other, with greetings flying from table to table (we seemed to be the only non-locals). At the end of the evening we thanked the waiter and I asked that he send our compliments to the chef. "Oh, he's my father", he replied. So I went to the bar at the back and thanked the father warmly for his skills - of which we were the happy recipients.Bagnols is the nearest town of any size to where we holiday regularly in the Département du Gard. We will definitely be back to "O pas sage" in the future.

We went to a vernissage in Bagnols, so we booked at a restaurant in town. It was a very warm August night so there were outside tables on the pavement in a very quiet street. The chef owner is knowledgable about wines. We had the more expensive of the two menus ( you can also have à la carte) about 29 ⬠a head. All of our starters were delicious: snails, a plate with 4 dainty starters and a cold dish of red pepper ice cream and whipped goats cheese. We all had the dish of the day which was mixed sea food grilled. It was perfectly cooked and I can't remember ever eating such deliciously soft melt-in-the-mouth squid. For desert we chose crème brulée (excellent) and poached pear with chocolate sauce. We'd have liked a darker chocolate in the sauce , but that's the only quibble in the whole meal. The chef/ owner sets a lovely atmosphere. He is very attentive, knowledable and has a good sense of humour. We recommend it highly.
