Find out what European restaurants to try in Baeza. Baeza (Spanish pronunciation: [baˈeθa]), formerly also written as Baéza, is an Andalusian town in the province of Jaén in southern Spain. It lies perched on a cliff in the Loma de Úbeda, the range separating the Guadalquivir River to its south from the Guadalimar to its north. It is now principally famed for having some of the best-preserved examples of Italian Renaissance architecture in Spain. Along with Úbeda, it was added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 2003. The former Visigothic bishopric of Baeza remains a Latin Catholic titular see.

A tapas with every drink......as I was driving that was tempting but we just had the one which was accompanied by a platter of Iberian ham on bread. We then ordered pheasant salad and pork fillet. Both very tasty. The owner speaks English which helped and he was charming. Bill less than â¬30 with two beers, coffee and three dishes.

Café-Bar con servicio de desayuno, comida. cena y brunch. Posibilidad de reserva, acceso a discapacitados y servio a mesa.Ubicación en pleno centro.
The fragrances were irresistible: sweet, puffy churros fresh from the deep fryer (but not greasy at all) and cafe con leche (hot, foamy milk and pressed coffee). When we stopped at Cafe Mercantil on a square in downtown Baeza, we were in for a treat. Enjoyed our coffee and churros as one of the best snacks of our trip in Spain. Many different choices for a break, for breakfast, or lunch.

We plumped for this restaurant from a few others in its vicinity because it seemed to particularly popular with the locals. It is on what seems to Baeza's main commercial street - just down the hill and around the corner from the cathedral. Los Arcos lived up to its promise: we chose soups (garlic and seafood), as well as having a glass of wine and then a coffee. Complimentary tapas of olives, and bread with pressed chicken and cheese appeared on the table as we ate. A light lunch suddenly weighed a little heavier, though we were certainly not complaining.

Recommended to come here by the receptionist at our hotel. (We must remember to thank her!) Would have rated it excellent had the service been more prompt, but the friendly and helpful staff were also especially keen on chatting to other colleagues and guests! Superb local wine from Alcala la Real. The free tapas were good, though not that warm, however the two we sampled from the menu were glorious... the spinach with eggs and prawns, as was the (even better) risotto with setas and foie.

Local interior with tables and bar, decorated modern style with several slates Taberna reporting the daily specials, outdoor terrace with tables and comfortable chairs, the nerve center of the city, open from March 15 to November 1. Large selection of Spa
We visited the tavern on our trip to Baeza and had a lovely lunch there. Their menu consists of a nice variety of dishes, and they have also several daily specials written on the wall.We had few apetizers, four dishes (raciones) to share, and a yummy chocolate dessert (2 pax). Really nice wine list (per glass also) of Spanish wines. The food was absolutely delicious. We had salad with duck breast & roquefort cheese, clams with spicy pepper sauce, amazing octopus and some grilled Iberian pork. We had coffee on the sunny terrace. Staff is very professional and friendly, stop for lunch or dinner you won't regret it.

A newly created establishment located in the historical center of Baeza (Jaén), where you can enjoy local dishes updated, extensive wine list and the best premium drinks. An idylic and picturesque venue to suit all tastes.
We had a fantastic lunch here with our teenage Spanish speaking teenagers. The staff were patient whilst we chose several dishes; tomato salad, stewed beef, teriyaki chicken, croquettes with blue cheese, pasta with courgette. All dishes were served one after another, which meant we took our time to enjoy each dish individually. Wine was 2.50⬠a glass, beer and water inexpensive too. No English menu, no English speaking staff - we loved it. Generous portions, so we asked to box our leftovers, which they kindly did for us. They even complemented our daughter on her Spanish - it made her day.

Bar opposite the viewpoint of the Cruz Baqueta in Baeza. We have a very select bar snack and a great wine list.
This is a very good tapas restaurant with generous and well prepared dishes. The meat is particularly good (excellent pork and lamb). Very sympathetic service. What make the experience something really special is the terrace with views to the snowy mountains and the valleys of olive trees. Pure AndalucÃa!
