This review is long overdue - we dropped into the VIELMEER, located right on the marina in Ostseebad Kühlungsborn with great sea views from almost anywhere in this popular restaurant. We sat on the outside deck and enjoyed our meal as well as the view of the Baltic sea. An English menu is available if you ask - service was excellent as was our meal. This was the âon stationâ restaurant the train manager on the Molli train recommended. Apparently itâs just as popular with non train visitors. Itâs a charming old style station waiting room adored with all the railway accessories. The staff were pleasant and polite with good service all round. I chose a herring dish which was served with a large baked potato and had a local white wine...delicious! Make sure youâre hungry going here the portions are large. Very comfortable seating and of course uniquely situated for the return Molli train. Just a tip....I broke my journey here on the way back and continued on a later train, which was allowed, ideal!

Outstanding situation of this restaurant which belongs to the Grandhotel Heiligendamm.Classic decoration and ambiente.Interesting and well designed tasting menu which takes you on a great foodie-trip :)Good service.Gourmet cuisine with a creative touch!

We had dinner. The food was good and came in quickly. We sat outside and had a nice view to the park. The mushroomsauce to my snitzel was very tasty but the potatoes were a bit greasy. The staff was nice and friendly. I would eat at this restaurant again.

This restaurant serves a selection of largely German style food. Eat here once and was impressed with the quality of the food. English was spoken and there was an English menu (with a few interesting translations!) Would go again for sure.

THE gastronomic highlight of Heiligendamm (I admit excluding the starred restaurant Friedrich Franz which I did not visit). Newly opened Medini offers such a good, fresh, simple yet sophisticated Italian food, that you will want to return every day. The portions in this restaurant were tasty and you get some free ouzo shots just like in Greece. For train enthusiasts the place is especially nice, since a couple of times per hour the museum train "Molli" runs just by the restaurant. Our first visit on Thursday was so successful that we went there again on Saturday. That was a big mistake! The restaurant was so full that the service seemed to degenerate into understaffed chaos. People waited for their food long time and I had to order my bill many times before somebody actually had time to bring it. In my bill there were mistakenly included also the portions of the neighboring table... So, I can recommend this place, but only on quiet evenings.

Cafe Zikke has a pleasant outdoor seating area. The food is very good and the staff are friendly. We were there with 3 little dogs and they immediately brought out a bowl of water for the dogs, a little tray with dog snacks and cold wonderful beer for us.The meal was quickly served, well prepared and tasted great.

14 persons from 7 to 80 of age, celebrating a big birthday, we had a great evening. The service of Mr. Zilo and team was extraordinary and the food was fantastic. We had reserved the 'vinoteca' with a huge round table in an area of our own.
