Not many people seem to stumble upon the quaint downtown of West Medford. It has one of everything you need... Post Office, church, pharmacy, pizza shop, local bar, and.... the gourmet Bistro 5! The food could stand up to competition in downtown Boston. Treat yourself to $1 oysters at the bar on Tuesdays. Menus change seasonally and feature fresh ingredients. It's worth one stop on the commuter rail (literally right across from the station) from North Station or a quick drive off 93!

Welcome to Scutra. We feature European Bistro style cuisine with a local flare. We have a full bar. We have plenty of parking in our two lots and look forward to seeing you soon. Bon Apetit
This is a tough review to write. First off, the service people at this restaurant are great. They are very polite, friendly, helpful and I could go on and on. The food was a different story. We ate dinner there on a Saturday evening. We were seated very quickly at a table right near a door to the back deck. It was a small, busy but comfortable setting. My husband ordered fish and I order a simple burger cooked medium. First, the drink I ordered was a Mai Tai - it was not consumable until I pulled out five limes and two cherries and even then I left it because all it tasted like was lime. My husband enjoyed the fish but did come across many small bones. My burger came out well done and not edible. When I tried to bite into it, it was so dry that I would choke trying to chew and swallow. I ended up eating 3/4 of it without the roll and with a fork and knife - cut up into tiny pieces. I would have sent it back but it was getting late and there was a snow storm brewing outside so we didn't want to wait. The fries I must say were delicious. The price of the meal was ridiculous considering I got a burger, but we knew that going in.The bad part came after we left. About two hours after we left I started getting bad cramps and feeling really bad in my stomach. I ended up vomiting a number of times throughout the night and I'm pretty sure it was from the food I ate at dinner since after everything was out of my body I was fine.A friend convinced me to call the owner so the next morning I did. His reaction was the reason for this bad review because otherwise I would not have bothered. The owner was rude and arrogant and insisted that it wasn't his food. I told him I only called him because just in case it was the beef, he needed to know. I was taking no further action, I wasn't calling any inspectors and I sure didn't want any free meals or any type of refund. I had not benefit to report this other than the fact that alot of children were at that restaurant with their parents and I know if it were my kids, they probably would order the plainest thing on the menu - the burger! I tried to explain my motivation to the owner but he wanted no part of it. He insisted it wasn't his food and that it was just me. Again I could not believe how rude he was. It was his reaction that made me write this review. Had he just said thank you for letting me know and I will look into it, I would have just moved on and not written this.Needless to say, I will never go back to that restaurant and I will never recommend it to anyone.Hello and foremost, thank you for visiting our restaurant- and taking the time to write this review. This is not a restaurant, it's a gastronomical destination, prepare your palate for a feast, your emotions for a party, your mind to discover new and wonderful things that you never imagined. Travel by Uber, there is no place to park, enjoy creative libations and then call Uber again.

We had a graduation- family gathering of 16 people at Real Gusto. All restaurant staff were incredibly helpful and accommodated all of our needs including opening a bit early for our party. The event planner was especially helpful. The food was outstanding!!!! And the waiters were so efficient. The restaurant itself is lovely, clean, bright. Wonderful atmosphere! It was perfect. Even though I am from western Massachusetts my husband and I will come back. The food was absolutely delicious! Everyone at the table commented on how good, fresh and authentic it was.Thank you Real Gusto for helping to make our event so memorable!
